Mr. Jacobson is a member in the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Jacobson represents a variety of sophisticated clients, including but not limited to, private equity funds and their portfolio companies, publicly traded companies, and national, regional and local real estate companies. His successes include defeating several class actions in the last several years. Mr. Jacobson also advises clients on the litigation aspets of asset purchase agreements, restrictive covenants in employment agreements, and real estate purchase and sale agreements.
His litigation role includes all aspects of initial pleading and case management issues, discovery, substantive motions, trial, and appeals. He was recently awarded Lawyer of the Year 2007 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. He was also awarded Crain's "40 Under 40" as a result of his accomplishments on behalf of his clients.
