Mr. Boyd completed his undergraduate studies at Mississippi College in 1981. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Mr. Boyd completed his legal education at Mississippi College School of Law in 1984. During law school, Mr. Boyd was selected to serve as a member of the Editorial Board of the Mississippi College Law Review, and he had a casenote selected for publication in the Fall1983 Law Review. Mr. Boyd is also a “graduate” of the 1996 MiniMed School seminar sponsored by the University Of Mississippi Medical Center. Mr. Boyd devotes most of his legal practice to personal injury and wrongful death claims including car wrecks, 18-wheeler/big truck wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, slip and fall injuries, and UM insurance claims (underinsured and uninsured auto insurance issues).

Shane was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he was educated at St. Aloysius High School. He later attended Millsaps College, before earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Shane began his law career as an associate attorney at Wilkins, Stephens & Tipton in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2003, Shane moved to Columbus, Mississippi, and began working at the Studdard Law Firm. Shane formed the Tompkins Law Firm in 2012 and today, primarily practices in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury and criminal defense. Professionally, Shane is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Mississippi Public Defender's Association. In addition, he has been the Lowndes County Bar Association President and is currently the Board Attorney for Golden Triangle Waste Services. Shane also serves as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Shane is married to Julie Pryse Tompkins. Shane and Julie have two sons, John and Jack. They reside in Columbus, Mississippi.

Amy completed her undergraduate work at Mississippi University for Women, graduating in 1995 with a B.A. in English, with honors. While at the “W”, Amy was named the University’s first Eudora Welty Scholar. She received her juris doctor degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 1998 and was admitted to practice in the state of Mississippi. Her practice focuses mainly on workers’ compensation defense, representing employers and carriers in matters before the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission and pursuing subrogation recovery before circuit courts throughout the state, as well as estate matters. Amy was named one of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 in 2005 and the T. George Kelly volunteer of the year for her work with the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program of the Bar in 2016. For many years, Amy and her husband Derek have dedicated themselves to their non-profit youth baseball league, the Jackson Ninety-Sixer Baseball Club, assisting and providing access to athletics to disadvantaged youth. She was named NABF’s Woman of Year in 2004 for her dedication to youth baseball. She also currently serves on the St. Joseph Catholic School Advisory Council and is the Director of Youth Music at St. Paul Catholic Church, where she and her family have been parishioners for many years. Amy is the current chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Mississippi Bar and was recently selected by Thomas Reuters to author their Practical Law Guide to Mississippi Workers’ Compensation. She resides in Brandon with her husband, Derek, son, John, and daughter, Mary Lee.

Pepper, a native of Charleston, Mississippi, completed his undergraduate work at the University of Mississippi, where he received a B.B.A. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1989, and he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He practiced in Birmingham, Alabama, for 2 years representing title insurance companies, before moving to Jackson, Mississippi, in August 1991, where his practice consisted mainly of general civil litigation. Pepper joined Markow Walker, P.A., in 1993 and practices mainly in the workers’ compensation law division. He also works in the general liability division handling the defense of personal injury claims. Pepper has an AV ranking from Martindale Hubble. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, Defense Resource Institute, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the Madison County Bar Association, and the Alabama Bar Association, as well as being the Past-President of the Madison County Association. He has served as a faculty member for various seminars on workers’ compensation including those sponsored by the National Business Institute, Lorman, Inc., and CISI. He is also an approved mediator for the Mississippi Bar’s Pilot Mediation Program for workers’ compensation cases. Pepper resides in Madison, and he has two children, Pepper, Jr., and AnnaLee. Pepper and his family attend Broadmoor Baptist Church. He enjoys outdoor activities, including hunting, skiing, golfing, and attending sporting events at his alma mater, the University of Mississippi.

Courtney is a native Mississippian, born and raised in Clarksdale. She attended the University of Mississippi and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007. During her undergraduate career, she was inducted into multiple academic societies, including Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. She was also awarded a Taylor Medal, the highest undergraduate academic award at the University. Courtney went on to attend the University of Mississippi School of Law. In 2010, she graduated cum laude. Courtney became licensed to practice law in the states of Mississippi and Tennessee later that same year. Courtney accepted a position in the Oxford office of Markow Walker, P.A., in April 2011. Courtney’s practice is dedicated to workers’ compensation defense, where she now has over 8 years of experience. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys instructing spin classes, traveling, and spending time with her family and husband, Kevin.
