Lawyer.com Member Questionnaire

Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
1) In the last couple of years, I have won two jury trials and have not lost any jury trials. My most newsworthy case has been my representation of Erek Balentine (see Little Rock news outlets).

How did you build a successful practice?
2) By putting costumer service first. Many lawyers forget that this is a customer service industry and that is first and foremost in my practice.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
3) Honesty, integrity, and experience in the area of law and geographical location.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
4) Local knowledge is key, every county and city court is different in how they operate, what the likely outcome is, and the local rules and customs. Knowing your judge and your opposing counsel is a key to successful representation.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
5) Information provided during a phone consultation is limited. Often there are documents I need to review before giving an opinion or advice, further a phone conversation is limited to what the client tells me. Most of the time, there is other information that I need to know before I can adequately handle a case. Therefore, I prefer face to face consultations.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
6) All the information they have available relating to the case.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
7) My focus on customer service and obtaining the best possible outcome for the client. I like to think of it as giving advice that makes economic sense, and not necessarily what the client wants to hear. For example, a claim over $500 is not worth getting a lawyer involved, no matter how much you may have been wronged, it does not make financial sense.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
8) Resolving disputes in a manner that is cost effective for my client and obtains their goals. Whenever I get a referral from a previous client, that tells me I'm doing something right!

What are your other interests in addition to law?
9) Anything outdoors. Fishing, hunting, floating the Buffalo River, and any outdoor adventure.

Please contact me for an initial consultation.
