About Peter
Peter M. Merrigan is an associate attorney located in the Boston office of Rawson, Merrigan & Litner, LLP. As one of our experienced personal injury attorneys, Attorney Merrigan has practiced exclusively in the area of personal injury litigation since his admission to the bar. Attorney Merrigan focuses in catastrophic injury cases throughout Massachusetts.
Attorney Merrigan attended New England School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude. While in law school, Attorney Merrigan received the Cali Excellence for the Future Award for his excellent achievement in the study of Negotiation and Selected Topics in Constitutional Law. Before graduating from New England School of Law, Attorney Merrigan successfully represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Rule 3:03 Prosecutor for Suffolk County at the West Roxbury District Court where he served as an Assistant District Attorney at arraignments, pre-trial conferences, motions, bench-trials, and jury trials.
He is currently a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the National Lawyers Guild. He also is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston. Attorney Peter Merrigan graduated from the Loomis Chaffee School before obtaining his Bachelor's of Arts Degree from James Madison University in Virginia.
