Robert A. George, who joined the firm in 2009,  is renowned as one of the region's exceptional and best-known trial lawyers, Mr. George has tried many of New England's most high profile and difficult criminal cases.

Mr. George graduated from the Boston Latin School, Northeastern University's College of Criminal Justice Summa Cum Laude and Suffolk University Law School. After internships in the Attorney General's Office, the United States Attorney's Office and the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office, he was appointed an Assistant District Attorney in Norfolk County in December 1980 on District Attorney (now United States Congressman) William Delahunt's trial staff. While a prosecutor, Mr. George co-handled the prosecution of Bradford Prendergast in Massachusetts' first murder and death penalty case in 1980. In 1981, Mr. George served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the prosecution of Arnold Evans for the murder of Assistant District Attorney Edward T. Bigham III and served as legal counsel to the Ward Commission, a joint state and federal task force prosecuting public corruption cases. Mr. George entered private practice in August 1982 where he was involved in the so-called "Big Dan's" rape case and Pennsylvania v. George Banks, a case that involved the shooting deaths of thirteen men, women and children in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Mr. George later formed his own law firm in April 1990, and has since handled the region's most celebrated and serious criminal cases.

Mr. George is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the United States District Court Bar for Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals Bar for the First Circuit, the United States Supreme Court Bar and the United States District Court Bars for the Districts of Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New York. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He has also been awarded Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating (AV) in criminal law, Lawyer of the Year Honors awarded by Lawyers Weekly and the Massachusetts Bar Association, and has been selected as a Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine for four consecutive years. He is active with the New England Innocence Project and has taught and lectured in colleges, law schools and continuing legal education programs throughout New England. He also has appeared often on television shows such as "American Justice," "Larry King", "Oprah Winfrey", "Phil Donahue," "Today Show," "Good Morning America", "People Are Talking", Jerry Williams," Chronicle," "Dateline," "48 Hours," "HBO," "MSNBC," "CNN", "Nancy Grace", "Catherine Crier," "Jami Floyd,"" Dan Abrams" and "Sally Jesse Raphael" and many others as well as on many other national and regional television and radio programs.

He has also lectured at Massachusetts CLE in courses including Advanced Trial Techniques, Trying the Difficult Case Against All Odds, Forensics and Insanity. He has taught classes at the Essex County Bar Advocates, Worcester County Bar Advocates, the Massachusetts State Police and judged local and national trial competitions at Suffolk University and Boston College Law Schools.

His career was the subject of the award- winning" Our Times" television program in 1991 as well as of several profiles in many major newspapers.
