About Robert
Mr. Seigel concentrates his practice in the area of labor and employment law.
Mr. Seigel practices traditional labor law representing management before the National Labor Relations Board, and other federal and state labor regulatory agencies, in collective bargaining negotiations, in labor arbitrations, and in union avoidance campaigns. He has successfully resolved a number of picketing situations and devised successful strategies for managing labor law implications of corporate changes in operation. He also counsels clients in avoiding employment discrimination and retaliation claims, and he represents clients in administrative investigations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state employment discrimination agencies. He has presented seminars on a variety of topics including management techniques, union avoidance, presentation of arbitration cases, Wage and Hour compliance, compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, and compliance with the WARN Act.
Prior to joining Gallop, Johnson & Neuman, Mr. Seigel served as Deputy Regional Attorney, Region 14, St. Louis, for the National Labor Relations Board. He was with the Board for 18 years (1978-1996). In 1994, he was one of the few field attorneys selected to represent an oral argument before the Board.
