Stephanie Palo, Esq. devotes her practice to the litigation of family law, criminal defense, and commercial civil litigation matters. New Jersey native Kevin A. Buchan concentrates his legal practice in the areas of criminal defense, administrative law, and ethics proceedings. He regularly handles all phases of criminal litigation at both the state and federal levels. Kevin’s interest in criminal defense work began in law school when he served as an intern in the office of the Union County Prosecutor. From that time on, he knew that he wanted to devote his career to criminal law. Following law school, Kevin served as a criminal law clerk for the Honorable William L’E. Wertheimer, J.S.C. This experience gave him further insight into the workings of the criminal justice system. Kevin takes pleasure in his ability to help others, particularly at a time in their lives when they may have stumbled or made mistakes. He developed rheumatoid arthritis that the Judge and insurance company said could not possibly be related. Networking and immediate responses are 2 ways I have found important to building a reputation in the community that fosters a successful practice. What should clients look for in a lawyer? 3. I today's current client immediate responses are imperative. That means being available 24/7. With 31 years experience I can answer any questions without having to do research. I know every workers comp judge in the State and have appeared before every one. How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases? 4. Local knowledge helps with knowing your adversary and the judge. I know all the lawyers I am up against as well as every judge in the State.
