Jeffrey T. Sampson was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 23, 1967. He received his B.B.A. with honors in management from the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He graduated in 1989 and then obtained his J.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1992. Mr. Sampson is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Justice Association, and the Kentucky Justice Association. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Kentucky Bar Association/Young Lawyer’s Section. He has lectured to professional groups on the subjects of medical malpractice and workers’ compensation. He is repeatedly identified by the Kentucky Trial Court Review as one of Kentucky’s Most Prolific Trial Lawyers. Mr. Sampson is a member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville. He is married with three children, and enjoys time with his family, snow skiing and golf.

Attorney James E. Harris always knew that he was destined to become a lawyer. Growing up in Nebraska, he looked up to his father, who was also an attorney, and dreamed that he would one day be able to follow in his footsteps by running his own law firm. In 1975, Jim earned his Bachelor’s Degree and continued on to earn his M.B.A. in 1977 — receiving both degrees from Arizona State University. Soon after graduating with his M.B.A., Jim returned to his home state to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an attorney. Since earning his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 1979, Jim has been serving the legal communities in and around Omaha, Nebraska. Today, he is a recognized, board-certified civil trial advocate through the National Board of Trial Advocacy — serving Omaha and the surrounding areas of Douglas, Sarpy, Dodge, and Lancaster counties. Nathan Russell is the founder and owner of Russell Law Offices, SC. Born and raised on his family’s fifth-generation dairy and crop farm in Shullsburg, he returned to Southwest Wisconsin to practice law in 2009. Nathan earned a degree in Agricultural Economics and his Juris Doctorate from UW-Madison. Prior to opening Russell Law Offices, Nathan taught Agricultural Education in Minnesota and served as an agriculture and commercial lender in Madison. With extensive experience in agriculture and lending, Nathan’s practice areas include real estate, contracts, business/farm transfer and startup, civil litigation, estate planning, probate & trust administration, creditor collections, municipal law, and family law. Nathan also has extensive experience in contested probate and divorces that involve farms/businesses. Nathan is married to Jennifer, whom he met through the FFA. Jennifer is the agricultural education and FFA instructor in Shullsburg, WI. They have six children: Reagan, Madison, Taylor, McKinley, Lincoln, and Jackson. Nathan is an avid sports fan outside the office, supporting the Packers, Badgers, Bucks, Brewers, and Miners/Knights. He is heavily involved in his children's’ activities, including assisting them show sheep across the country. Nathan is also very proud to be starting his 14th year serving as the girls’ basketball head coach for Shullsburg. Nathan has recently been sworn into the Illinois State Bar and is excited to serve clients in Northwestern Illinois. Nathan has presented to a variety of community and professional groups on numerous legal topics. He has been active in the Lafayette County community by previously serving on the Shullsburg Fund Board, Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Shullsburg School Board.

Alison received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University Law Center, magna cum laude, in 1981. As an undergraduate, Alison attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she received two Bachelor of Science degrees in 1978, one in Chemical Engineering and one in Humanities and Science. Alison has long fought to protect the legal rights of injured victims through her leadership positions in the Maryland Association for Justice (formerly the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association) as well as her representation of clients in the courts. Alison has been a member of the MAJ Board of Governors since 1998, serving as President for the 2005-2006 Bar year and as an Officer between 2001 and 2007. In addition to her activities in MAJ, Alison has been a leader at the bar in multiple ways, including serving as a member of the Trial Courts Nominating Commission for Baltimore County (2006 – 2014), the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Governors, the Bar Association of Baltimore City Executive Council, and chairing various committees for the Baltimore County Bar Association. Alison has served as lead counsel in innumerable complex medical malpractice, premises and products liability, car crash and nursing home cases throughout the State of Maryland in both state and federal courts. Alison brings her analytical skills and deep understanding of the law and medicine to a wide array of complex malpractice cases, including cases involving spinal surgery, abdominal surgery, emergency medicine, hip and knee replacement surgery, sepsis and infectious diseases. Complimenting her legal practice, Alison is presently in the Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle, a past president of the Executive Women’s Network, and a former board member of the Maryland Humanities Council and Grants Committee of the Council. Alison, her husband, and their two children live on a farm in rural Maryland with a menagerie of animals. Alison has been an active volunteer in her church, her children’s schools, and local youth theater groups, helping to produce school and community musicals as well as supporting related school activities. When able to take a respite from her busy trial practice, Alison, a lifelong singer, has been involved with various choral groups and theater companies, ranging from singing with the Boston Symphony as part of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus to participating in Gilbert & Sullivan operettas with Baltimore’s Young Victorian Theatre, singing in fundraisers for the Baltimore Bar Foundation, singing in Carnegie Hall with local choral groups, singing in church choirs and singing with The Deer Creek Chorale. Alison keeps herself active by playing golf, fishing and skiing with her family and friends.
