Aubrey Brown is a member of the firm’s litigation section, and was named a shareholder in 2018. His practice crosses multiple areas of law, consisting principally of: Family Law and Domestic Relations, including, divorces, spousal support and alimony, equitable distribution and division of property, pre-marital and pre-nuptial agreements, property settlement agreements, protective orders, and child custody, visitation, and child support matters. Residential Real Estate, including, purchases, sales, refinances, transfers, and real estate disputes. Personal Injury, including, automobile accidents, premises liability (“slip and fall”) and dog bites. Trust, Will and Estate Litigation. Aubrey is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia. Prior to joining Parker, Pollard, Wilton & Peaden, P.C., Aubrey was a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

S. W. Dawson, Esq., is the founder and managing member of Dawson, P.L.C. Mr. Dawson specializes in bespoke litigation strategies, particularly in the realm of state and federal criminal defense. Mr. Dawson regularly represents clients throughout the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, but maintains his most active presence in the Hampton Roads and Northern Neck regions of Virginia. Over the course of his career, Mr. Dawson has successfully defended countless Virginians and visitors who have faced serious felony or misdemeanor charges in either state or federal court. He has successfully defended clients facing the most serious allegations imaginable, to include: homicide, money laundering, fraud, narcotics violations, rape, driving under the influence (DUI/DWI) and more. Mr. Dawson has also represented clients all over the United States in asset forfeiture cases (which are matters in which the Government attempts to seize and keep a citizen's property). Mr. Dawson also helps clients both in prosecuting and defending claims for monetary damages. Mr. Dawson particularly enjoys collecting debts owed to businesses and individuals. Active in his professional community, Mr. Dawson is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Northern Neck Bar Association, and he has lectured on legal topics for several organizations. He sits on the board of directors of Norfolk Festevents, Ltd., and GraceInside, a prison ministry founded in 1920. In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Dawson has been recognized for many years in peer-to-peer review publications such as Virginia Super Lawyer Magazine, Virginia Business Magazine, and Coastal Virginia Magazine, among others. Mr. Dawson holds a license to practice law before all Virginia state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District and Western District of Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Zachary Steven Naert was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 8, 1984. His father was in the Navy, and shortly after being born they were transferred to where he grew up – the Charleston, South Carolina area. Zach graduated from Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston in 2002, with honors, and also earned an International Baccalaureate degree. Zach accepted academic scholarships to first attend Winthrop University and then Charleston School of Law. He earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from Winthrop, Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish and Political Science from the honors college, also graduating with honors in 2006. It was also during college that Zach lived in Spain for a semester attending The University of Salamanca, one of the oldest universities in the world, earning outstanding marks. During his time at the Charleston School of Law, Zach was offered an internship for the United Stated Judge Advocates General’s (JAG) office and worked at the JAG office on Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, watching F-16 fighter jets all-lunch-long. He also worked extensively as an intern with the Migrant Farmworker Division of South Carolina Legal Services, a non-profit agency offering free civil legal services to indigent people. It was here that Zach got his first taste of advising and assisting people in standing up for their rights. In school, Zach earned a CALI Award of Excellence in Property and served as an Articles Editor on the Federal Courts Law Review. He graduated with honors in 2009 Following law school, Zach continued to work as a Migrant Farmworker attorney, which included traveling around the State of South Carolina to advise farmworkers about their rights and bringing lawsuits in the Federal Courts. It was during this time that Zach lived in Zacatecas, Mexico, studying at the FENIX Language Institute and volunteering at the Center for Migrant Rights. As a result of all of his studies and travels, Zach does speak, read, and write Spanish rather fluently. Zach has also worked for other private civil litigation law firms in Charleston and Hilton Head, South Carolina. In 2011, Naert Law Firm, LLC was founded. Zach has been to the South Carolina Supreme Court and prevailed. He has also practiced in Federal Court, the Court of Appeals, the Court of Common Pleas, Small Claims or Magistrate’s Court, Arbitration, and others. Zach maintains a balanced workload of workers’ compensation and car accident cases, along with timeshare disputes and less common personal injury matters like slip and falls, nursing home abuse and neglect, and premises liability. Zach prides himself on maintaining a high level of client-satisfaction through communication and education. All of Zach’s clients are offered his personal cell phone number. Patrick was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and is a partner at the law firm of Anderson & Moore. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. Following college, Patrick worked in the real estate, advertising, and marketing fields before starting law school at the Charleston School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. After sitting for the bar exam he moved back home to Spartanburg to begin a Judicial Clerkship with Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge J. Mark Hayes. Upon completing his Judicial Clerkship for Judge Hayes, Patrick began work as an Assistant Solicitor for former Seventh Circuit Solicitor Trey Gowdy. Patrick’s initial case load focused on General Crimes, with cases ranging broadly from forgery and property crimes to Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill. Following the General Crimes case load, Patrick became the DUI prosecutor for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, which includes Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties. He was the DUI prosecutor for 3 years, and was responsible for both Magistrate level and Circuit Court level DUI charges. His case load ranged from DUI and Felony DUI to Failure to Stop for Blue Light and Habitual Traffic Offender. Patrick left the Solicitors Office in 2011 to go into private practice. He devotes the majority of his practice to defending clients charged with DUI, Felony DUI, Drug charges, and all criminal offenses, as well as representing clients on divorce and custody matters. Patrick’s lifetime ties to Spartanburg have given him extensive knowledge of the community and its people, and that lends itself well to representing his clients’ interests successfully. Patrick knows the area because he has lived there all his life. Patrick prides himself on being available whenever his clients need him. Mr. Murphy’s legal career emphasizes management labor, corporate, and litigation matters. Mr. Murphy has presented and argued hundreds of cases including labor and employment matters in proceedings at the administrative, state, and federal levels. He has successfully argued labor and employment cases at both the state and federal levels, including the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Mr. Murphy is a former member of the Governor’s Task Force on Labor-Management Relations and past President of the Boston Chapter of the Industrial Relations Research Association and advisory counsel to the American Arbitration Association. In addition, Mr. Murphy is a member of the Labor Relations Advisory Committee, a select panel of the nation’s leading labor relations attorneys and he has served on a national team of seven lawyers that advises an association of 1,200 hospitals across North America. Mr. Murphy is a former Chairman of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, former Advisory Director of the Bank of Boston, and a Director of Quincy Mutual Insurance Company and other profit and non-profit corporations and trade associations. In December 1989, Mr. Murphy was honored as a recipient of the Cushing-Gavin Award for management representation in the field of labor relations. In 1996, Mr. Murphy was elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Murphy was one of only fifty practicing attorneys in the nation honored with the Fellowship appointment and was the only attorney in Massachusetts to receive the Fellowship. Mr. Murphy is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Suffolk University Law School. He is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

I am married with three children. I am a native St. Louisan who enjoys watching sports, playing golf, and hunting. My family and I are members of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church.
