I have lived in the mid- Willamette Valley since 1981, in Corvallis since 1989. Since 2000, I have been an attorney based in Corvallis, providing legal services in real estate law, business law, estate planning, and construction law, as well as other practice areas. Before beginning my career in law, I enjoyed a 15 year career as a professional forester in the private sector of Western Oregon’s timber industry. During those years, I gained invaluable experience with the workings of the business world generally, but particularly as it relates to land, natural resources, and the environment, and the impact of those things on people and families. In 1997 I entered law school at Willamette University in Salem, and graduated 5th academically in the class of 2000. Since then I have practiced law primarily in the Corvallis and Albany areas, but I also serve clients throughout the Willamette Valley and the Central Coast, and as far away as Seattle and Medford. I am currently a solo practitioner with an office in downtown Corvallis. One of the main reasons I decided to begin a career in law is that I recognized a need for skilled attorneys who could bring real life experience, and an appreciation for the needs of the clients, from a personal as well as legal perspective, to the practice of law. That's what I do. You will not see any leather-tassled shoes or insincere smiles in my office, nor will you be billed $50 for every phone call or email. Mr. Klipstein concentrates in two areas of the law: 1. Trusts and Estates, Estate Planning, Wills, Estate Administration, and Estate, Gift and Income Tax matters related to estates and trusts; 2. Immigration and Naturalization. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1960 and is admitted to the Bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Klipstein received an A.B. Degree from Columbia College in 1957, his J.D. Degree from Columbia Law School in 1960 (where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), and an LLM in Taxation from the New York University Law School, Graduate Division in 1965. He is a member of the American Bar Association, N.Y. State Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York County Lawyers Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Judges Association, and the Westchester County Bar Association. He has been or is a member or Chairman of various committees at these Bar Associations for may years. Mr. Klipstein contributed to Drafting New York Wills, Law and Forms, published by Matthew Bender (Lexis). He has also been an Arbitrator in the Small Claims Part of N.Y. City Civil Court (N.Y. County) since 1971.

Practices in the areas of civil litigation, business and corporate matters, energy, transportation, insurance, environmental issues, land use, real estate, estate planning, and probate. He was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1994 after graduating the same year from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (Now Texas A&M). He is also licensed in the State of North Dakota. He is a member of the Insurance Section of the Texas State Bar, in addition to the Native American Law Section. When William J. Brotherton obtained his law degree in 1994 at the age of 44 after five years of night classes, he was the regional manager for BCM Engineers, Inc., a national environmental engineering firm. Prior to becoming an attorney, William worked at developing complex treatment plans for national Superfund sites and RCRA facilities as an environmental scientist. He received his MS in Environmental Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, and his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota. After obtaining his law degree, he then went on to teach environmental law as an adjunct professor for 12 years at Texas Christian University, and lectured in environmental and land-use law at the Center for Environmental Research and Training at the University of Texas at Arlington. He has also lectured at Lamar University, the University of North Texas, and the University of Texas at Dallas. William has served as a court-appointed special commissioner to determine the value of condemned property since 2006. Knowledgeable in that area as a result of his experience serving on the Planning & Zoning Commission for Flower Mound, Texas for over 6 years in addition to his service as a director of the Upper Trinity Regional Water District. Besides being licensed in the States of Texas and North Dakota, William is licensed in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas. He is also licensed in the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

After practicing in the San Diego area for over 20 yeas, Joe founded Lavelle Law Group because he sensed a need for a small personal service law firm that truly cared about their clients. A decade later and he knows it was the right thing to do as LLG has helped so many people and businesses over the years. Joe has been married for 33 years to the same wonderful lady and they have 2 children. Joe has coached at the youth level in several sports for 20+ years, and enjoys volunteering for charities such as the wonderful Challenged Athletes Foundation (based in San Diego) and Amputee Surf. Nikki B. Allen brings a wealth of experience to her legal practice. She is licensed in both California and Colorado and has practiced law for over twenty years. Ms. Allen began her career in 2000 as an attorney in Denver, Colorado with Kutak Rock, LLP, a national law firm with more than 450 attorneys in 16 offices. She specialized in finance law, where she represented numerous municipal clients and real estate developers. She was involved in the closing of numerous multi-million dollar transactions. When Ms. Allen moved to Palm Desert, California in 2005, she broadened her practice to include all types of business law, including the purchases and sales of real estate and businesses, entity formation and contract drafting. Specifically, she focuses on estate planning, which include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced health care directives and special needs trusts. Ms. Allen also represents clients in probate and trust litigation, as well as the administration of trusts and probate of estates. She handles all real estate issues and civil litigation, including homeowner association disputes, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and construction disputes. Ms. Allen loves helping her clients resolve their legal issues. She also strives to help her clients avoid costly litigation.
