About Shayne

Since the inception of her legal career, Shayne Hamann has been engaged almost exclusively in areas related to automobile litigation.  She has worked with insurers and self-insured entities.  Shayne's extensive experience includes both plaintiff and defense personal injury litigation, rental law, insurance coverage disputes for claims both before and after litigation, bodily injury, and UM/UIM, and no-fault.  Her prior experience serving as staff counsel for a major insurance company, in conjunction with her law firm experience, provides her with a unique set of skills that enable her to maneuver an insurance defense case with a deft touch.  Over the years, Shayne has logged innumerable hours in the courtroom, as well as arbitrated and mediated hundreds of cases with excellent results.

Shayne's amiable and compassionate nature is evident in both her professional and personal ambitions.  Shayne analyzes and provides each case with the individual attention it requires, constantly keeping her clients' needs in the forefront of her mind.  She evaluates every case with a meticulous eye, seeking out the most efficient and cost-effective approach to resolving the dispute at hand.  Shayne understands that each case is unique, and she strives to consistently provide all of her clients with an energetic, thorough, and favorable defense to litigation.

While away from the office, Shayne devotes a considerable amount of time to volunteering and mentoring with a variety of organizations.  She acts as a mentor to students at both William Mitchell College of Law and the University of St. Thomas School of Law.  Shayne is actively involved with several organizations associated with her undergraduate alma mater, Concordia College, Moorhead.  She also finds time to volunteer as a high school basketball coach and referee, as well as acting as a mentor to a local Girl Scout troop.  When Shayne is not at work or volunteering her time to other organizations, she loves to take advantage of all that Minnesota's 10,000 lakes have to offer, especially those near her hometown of Perham, with her husband and twin sons.
