Ms. Burnett is a trial attorney who concentrates her practice in representing people who have been injured as a result of professional negligence, including nursing home abuse and medical malpractice. She is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and was named a Partner in the firm in 2012. Ms. Burnett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and French in 1996 from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated magna cum laude. She received a Juris Doctor degree in 2001 from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, receiving multiple academic honors and distinctions. After law school, Ms. Burnett served as a law clerk to the Honorable G. Ross Anderson, Jr. in United States District Court in Anderson, South Carolina. Ms. Burnett began her private practice handling the defense of a variety of claims in both federal and state court, focusing her practice in the defense of nursing home abuse claims. In 2007, Ms. Burnett left her practice to join our firm to represent victims of nursing home abuse and medical malpractice.

As a young lawyer, Michael spent several years working for two of Atlanta’s premier insurance defense firms. He represented locally and nationally-known trucking companies, automobile insurers, and premises liability insurers in defense of lawsuits filed by accident victims. When Mike made a career move to the plaintiff’s side, his tenure in the large law firm environment and representation of prominent insurance companies provided Mike the experience necessary to obtain hundreds of favorable settlements and verdicts for his personal injury clients. After a decade of practicing law in Atlanta, Michael and his wife Bren decided it was time to move back to Bren’s hometown of Greenville, SC so they could help accident victims in the Upstate area and be a part of a beautiful, growing city. He is the managing partner of Parham Smith and Archenhold, LLC, formerly Parham and Smith, which is based in Greenville, South Carolina but handles cases all over the state of South Carolina. Over the past decade Lynn Seithel has litigated against some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world including American Home Products, Wyeth, and Glaxosmithkline to name a few. She was one of the first to pursue lawsuits against the makers of Avandia®, Advair®, Paxil®, Serevent®, Vioxx®, Yaz®, and Trasylol®. Over the years, a large portion of her practice centered on representing parents and children in birth defect litigation as a result of mothers taking potentially dangerous drugs during pregnancy that lacked adequate safety warnings. Some of the potentially dangerous drugs during pregnancy include Paxil®, Zoloft®, Prozac®, Wellbutrin®, Depakote®, Diflucan®, Topomax® and Serequel®. Although she primarily concentrates on pharmaceutical litigation, her past experience includes work in tobacco and auto defect litigation as well.
