David Lish defends clients in all types of criminal cases in all courts throughout Arizona. A former misdemeanor and felony prosecutor, he has extensive courtroom and trial experience in both juvenile and adult court. As a Deputy Maricopa County Attorney for over six years, David prosecuted cases with charges ranging from drug possession and forgery to violent crimes, including shootings, aggravated assaults, and attempted murder. He also worked extensively in the Sex Crimes Bureau, where he prosecuted nearly every kind of sex offense. As a sex crimes prosecutor for more than four years, David received comprehensive training in all areas related to sex crimes investigations. This training included forensic interviewing of children, the use of DNA, analyzing medical evidence, and forensic computer analysis. David later joined the City of Scottsdale Prosecutor’s Office, where he focused on DUI prosecution and underwent extensive DUI training and Standardized Field Sobriety testing, including courses required of police officers to conduct DUI investigations. David then took his vast experience as a prosecutor to fight for the accused. He worked for nearly six years at one of Arizona’s largest criminal defense law firms, eventually becoming the lead attorney and handling the most serious cases while training other attorneys. In doing so, he obtained excellent results for countless clients by dismissal, favorable pleas, as well as numerous trials at every level. Now, as a partner and owner at Grand Canyon Law Group, David uses his legal knowledge and skill in a smaller setting to provide customized help to those accused of committing crimes. Kristen Curry has been certified as a Criminal Law Specialist through the State Bar of Arizona for the past 25 years and has extensive jury trial and litigation experience. Kristen handles criminal cases, including both felony and misdemeanor matters, DUI cases, criminal appeals and post-conviction relief. Since 1998, Kristen has been teaching other attorneys statewide how to effectively challenge illegal searches in criminal cases. Her written materials on the subject have also been provided to Superior Court judges during judicial training. Kristen, along with the firm, has been given the highest rating by her legal peers, AV, in the Martindale-Hubbell national legal directory. Attorney Debora Levine is an Arizona native. Growing up, she was active in Girl Scouts and studied Spanish and French. She took 3rd in the state in her French examination in high school. She attended ASU for undergraduate school. After graduating from ASU, Debora was a GED instructor for teen moms at Rio Salado. After her work at Rio Salado, she began working for a social services agency, Child and Family Resources. Deborah was a life skills educator for teen moms. She then went back to school for her post-baccalaureate in education to become a public-school educator. Debora taught 2nd grade and then went on to teach 7th-grade language arts for 6 years. During that time, she decided to go to law school and found an opportunity to do law school part-time with evening classes at Phoenix Law School. She graduated in 2011 from Phoenix School of Law. Debora worked as a family law attorney for 6 years with her mentor who had 40 years of experience in family law. She had her own law firm and later worked for Schill Law Group. After Law School, Debora decided to go back to school again to receive her master’s in forensic psychology from Walden University to enhance her law career. Debora was married for 22 years and then divorced. Her experiences make her a compassionate and understanding ally for her clients because she empathizes and relates to what they are going through. Debora has a wealth of experience in all different kinds of family law cases, including a case involving embryos that resulted in creating a new Arizona statute for how the disposition of embryos is handled in Arizona. In her free time, Debora enjoys tabletop, role-playing games, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Her daughter lives in Arizona and her son lives in Norway with his wife and grandson. Debora also enjoys pedicures and lunch with friends, movies (especially horror films), and crime documentaries. She is an animal lover and has 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Since 2005, Chris Houk has been a dedicated advocate for the rights of Arizona’s workers, managers, and employers. From representing clients in small-town discrimination cases to arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Chris has tirelessly worked to ensure that everyone is treated with the fairness, dignity, and respect they deserve. Chris’s extensive experience includes serving in the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. These roles have given him a deep understanding of the laws and regulations that govern employment in Arizona. In addition to his legal practice, Chris is an adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He also serves as an officer of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section, and is a Fellow with the American Bar Foundation. Outside of work, Chris is actively involved in the Arizona and Metro Phoenix communities, where he and his wife are raising their three children.
