Growing up in Grainger County, Tennessee I spent many days picking tomatoes and beans, cutting tobacco and hauling hay. I love being involved with the people of this county. My husband, Ron, and I love our animals.  We have a horse named Elmer.  We also have a donkey, Babybell, and a Shih Tzu, named Piddles.  My parents are Margaret and J.C. Jones of Rutledge. One day as he was floating in the water studying the growth of the coral reef, a hammerhead shark swam up. Michael was surrounded by coral, which is very sharp and can cut you easily. Swimming away or climbing on the coral was not an option. Michael stayed calm and kept an eye on the shark. He waited out the shark and was unscathed when he later swam to shore.
