Prior to joining Singleton Schreiber, Ms. Chamberlain began her legal career as junior staff attorney for a Standing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee. Ms. Chamberlain went on to serve as a law clerk for the Hon. Latrice Westbrooks on the Mississippi Court of Appeals. After her court experience, Ms. Chamberlain joined the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office as a Special Assistant Attorney General, where she represented the State of Mississippi in felony criminal appeals. Ms. Chamberlain most recently served as a Staff Attorney at the Office of the State Public Defender in Jackson, MS, where she represented indigent clients on direct appeals from felony criminal convictions. Ms. Chamberlain graduated from the Mississippi College School of Law, after attaining a bachelor's degree in biology from Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS. Wes Fulgham serves as Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber and is part of the personal injury group. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Fulgham has a proven track record in litigating a diverse range of cases from inception to trial, including personal injury, wrongful death, trucking litigation, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, worker’s compensation, product liability, and insurance bad faith. Wes started in private practice at an insurance defense firm, though he soon discovered that his passion and future path was in the representation of individuals and small businesses rather than large corporations. Mr. Fulgham's extensive career spans multiple nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firms, where he has expertly managed cases with integrity from initial contact through to the most favorable resolution for his clients. His practice has been focused in the areas of medical negligence and wrongful death, as well as medical devices and pharmaceutical products. One of his landmark cases resulted in a precedent-setting decision in Mississippi wrongful death law, Dooley v. Byrd, which clarified the right of wrongful death claimants to have their case tried by their chosen attorney, rather than through counsel chosen by another heir. Wes argued before the Mississippi Supreme Court that the trial court had unfairly prejudiced his clients’ case, resulting in success on appeal for the family. Wes has represented clients throughout Mississippi, and in Alabama and Tennessee, and has recovered millions of dollars for patients and families who have received negligent medical treatment from hospitals, physicians, surgeons, and nurses who have failed to meet the duty owed to those in their care. Letitia S. Johnson is the Managing Partner of our Southeastern Region offices and a leader in our Civil Rights, Environmental Litigation, Personal Injury, and Wildfire Litigation practice groups. An accomplished attorney with deep ties and a history of service to the communities of Mississippi, Ms. Johnson’s primary focus is combating environmental racism seeking damages and remediation from corporations who place such harmful facilities as chemical plants, factory farms, public landfills, and hazardous waste disposal sites in minority communities. Ms. Johnson is also a lead attorney in the firm’s Hair Relaxer litigation against L’Oreal, Revlon and similar defendants. A native of Magnolia, Mississippi, and a lifelong resident of the state, Ms. Johnson graduated cum laude from Tougaloo College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics as a Presidential Scholar.
