Plaintiff: Attorney for the plaintiff, Liliana Solis. Solis moved for a summary judgement of liability on her claim that the defendants, The Regis Corporation, violated California Labor Code by paying its employees with out of state checks. Solis was an employee of Super Cuts. The Regis Corporation, based in Chicago, issued checks forms a Chicago Bank. Solis and other employees found it difficult to cash their paychecks and often had to pay a fee for cashing an out of state check. After review, the court finds that the defendants did violate section 212 of the California Labor Code. The motion was granted.
APPLE & ATTM ANTITRUST LITIGATION
"Attorney for the Plaintiff in a class action lawsuit against APPLE & ATTM alleging violation against monopoly laws as set forth by Section 2 of the Sherman Act, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 2301, et seq., and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1030. The Court granted the Defendant Apple’s Motion for Summary Judgment as to Plaintiffs’ Seventh, Eight, Ninth, and Tenth Causes of action. The Court granted part Plaintiffs’ Motion."
