Jethro received his undergraduate degree from the University of California (Berkeley), holds a law degree from Tulane University, and has been practicing law since 1981. His practice consists primarily of real estate litigation, including wrongful eviction and habitability disputes, disputes connected with buying or selling real property, and disputes between co-owners or condo owners. Prior to opening Shearer Law Offices in 1998 to concentrate on employment, real estate, and intellectual property law, he was an associate with reputable firms including Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati and Cooley, Godward (now Cooley LLP) in Palo Alto. He and former colleague Andrew Pierce merged firms to form Pierce & Shearer LLP in 2001. Pete also had worked with the Special Masters of Griffiths and Castle on complex real estate matters.
