Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I represented a family who lost their father in a tragic accident. Joe (last name withheld) was attending a 50th anniversary party for friends. He tripped and fell over an object between two concrete pads in an outdoor area. The fall fractured his neck. After recovering in rehabilitation, he suddenly took a turn for the worse and died. His family was heartbroken at the loss. After considering not pursuing the claim, they reconsidered and hired our firm. With no way to bring Joe back or value his life, a significant settlement was reached. Money could not bring Joe back but it was the principal that the at fault party admitted wrongdoing and provided the family an apology and peace of mind.
How did you build a successful practice?
After many years in the military, I transferred my leadership, time management and organizational skills into a law practice. Being able to communicate with clients, keep them informed, motivate attorneys and staff as well as provide direction and leadership has lead to my successful practice.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
People should look for honesty, availability and results.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge is very important. Being tied to the community, being accessible and staying in touch with peers in the industry keep our firm current and well connected to trends and resources.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Our firm can provide information on the potential outcome of the case based on current facts, the timing and length of a case, whether litigation is likely or settlement without it, and a full biography of who they are hiring.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Date of the accident, type of accident, injuries, monetary loss, witnesses and any other available information.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
We used to work only for insurance companies. We now represent personal injury clients. Switching our practice allows us to have a greater insight into insurance companies, their methods and practices and their operation that most personal injury attorneys have not been exposed to.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding part of our work is helping people get just compensation from insurance companies and individuals that have harmed them.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am a foodie and love to travel. My wife is a chef and we love to go to new places and explore the local cuisine.
