About Yu
In his business transactions practice, Vincent advises, counsels and supports his clients on matters pertaining to business formation, employment law compliance and monitoring and protecting their intellectual property rights.
Vincent is a bi-lingual attorney who, for close to 15 years has called the San Francisco Bay Area his home. Originally hailing from Anhui Province in China, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Vincent learned early on the timeless value of what imagination, determination and hard work can yield. After graduating at the top of his class from Oberlin College, Vincent sharpened his leadership skills through mobilizing diverse communities in campaigns for fair housing, consumer protection, and media justice. He also worked with local non-profit organizations in fundraising and grants development, and graphic design for marketing projects.
Vincent excelled at Santa Clara University School of Law and received numerous accolades including Best Oral Advocate, the Thurgood Marshal Civil Rights Scholarship, and an externship with the Superior Court of San Francisco. Vincent competed in the Moot Court competition as well as served as an associate for the Santa Clara Journal of International Law, where he authored a note on China's telecommunications policies. Vincent was also a recipient of the Pro Bono Award in recognition for his commitment to giving back to the community.
Vincent sits on the Executive Board for the California Employment Lawyers Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Alameda County Bar Association. He also serves as the Northern California District Representative for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. Vincent regularly provides pro-bono legal services to low-income communities through the Employment Law Center’s Workers Rights Clinic, AIDS Legal Referral Panel and California Lawyers for the Arts. Vincent is a supporting member of many organizations and communities, including the Earl Warren American Inn of Court, Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, Filipino Bar Association of Northern California, Thai American Bar Association, and National Asian American Bar Association.
Vincent is the 2016 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for New Attorney from the Alameda County Bar Association. He is also a Super Lawyers – Rising Star, Northern California, 2015 through 2018, an honor awarded to the top 2.5% of attorneys.
Vincent is licensed to practice before all state courts in the state of California, and the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California.
Vincent is proud to be the first attorney in his immediate and extended family. When not hanging out with his new wife, Paulina, and his dog, Gia, he enjoys rock climbing and is currently obsessed with the game of golf.
