Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen

"To say that Allen is a true artist when it comes to photography almost seems like an understatement. My husband was actually the one who found Allen when he had come across his work on Instagram and we were both instantly in love with his light and airy style. For us, our wedding photos were one of our top priorities, as they are something we are going to treasure all our life. So we wanted to be sure whoever our photographer was not only fit our style, but also put just as much importance on our big day as we did, and Allen did all of that and more. I cannot brag enough about him, and yet his work speaks for itself. He has an innate ability to make his client's feel so incredibly special, as well as get to know them on a personal level. No matter the questions, ideas or thoughts that we threw his way, he continually provided us such undivided attention. Not to mention his ability to give direction. When it came time for our engagement shoot, my husband and I were both very nervous, as aside from the typical iPhone photo, we certainly were not seasoned pros in front of the camera. But Allen guided us through every second of it, making the entire experience so enjoyable and easy. So when our wedding came, we knew were in good hands, and he did not miss a beat or moment. The way he was able to capture the emotions, love and every detail of our wedding was everything we had hoped for, and it is so special to have such beautiful reminders of that day. "Not only did Allen photograph my wedding, but he was the photographer for my best friend's wedding as well in which I was the maid of honor. Allen's photos speak for themselves - he shoots film (but also digital, mostly indoors and evening) which means the photos have such a dreamy, romantic quality to them that simply can't be replicated with Photoshop. His Instagram page and website say it all. What really impressed me, though, was his attitude and professionalism. A few examples: because he's fluent in Mandarin, he was able to easily and clearly communicate with family members and give gentle direction. He gladly fielded all our guests' requests to take group photos on their cell phones with a smile. And maybe most importantly, both at our wedding and engagement, his authentic enthusiasm made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera, and even my camera-shy husband was hamming it up by the end of the day. What I loved about Allen is that he has a point of view and will openly but respectfully express his opinion to make sure you get the best shot. He worked with our planner to seamlessly make some minor last minute lighting and location changes, which really paid off in terms of the photo quality. I am so happy that we worked together."

"My husband and I were looking for a anniversary photoshoot in Dallas, so I Yelped and Allen came up first on the list. I love how his photos are very clean, bright and timeless looking. Engaged him right after, did our photoshoot, and got our photos, all less than a month (Dec, when wedding season is less hectic). He's very friendly, prompt in replies, very professional and definitely knows what he is doing, especially in giving directions to us while taking our photos. The photos came out to be better than we've expected. Truly a talent! Worth our money spent! In fact, his pricing is very reasonable."
