I worked on a few Workers Comp cases back in the 1990s, of which Bruce Gelber was the applicant attorney. I left the Workers Comp field in 1999. But anyway, I remember Bruce as a street fighter of an attorney. However, I never remember him as unprofessional or uncaring about his clients. I read the reviews which say he's unprofessional. Can't agree at all. Quite honestly, I get the impression that the people who say this are not telling the whole story. I think that they're demonizing Bruce and their version is all one sided. If Bruce were to tell his side of the story, we'd all get a different impression. Just saying that the Bruce Gelber I remember was tough as iron but professional.

This attorney ripped me off 19k on my Workers Compensation case. He did not look out for my best interest, he did not get me the help I needed, he had a ugly disposition and did not return phone calls ! I regret the day I met him ! I sincerely hope that Karma comes back to remind him that he took a oath to help people not hurt them. I would trust a snake before I would trust Bruce Gelber

I only met mr. Gelber on the first day of hiring him, since then Emmy Velazquez has been the only contact with mr. Gelbers office. We have been requesting to meet with Bruce Gelber for over 2 years and yet have not seen or heard from him directly. We also been requesting for the copies of case files since early 2017 and have not received it. We went to their office to get information about Mandatory Settlement Conference that is been scheduled for 4/16/2019. After asking detailed questions about the case, Emmy Velazquez got aggravated raised her voice and told us "GET OUT OF MY OFFICE, I AM FIRING YOU, GO FIND A NEW ATTORNEY" After requesting to speak with my attorney Bruce Gelber, she went in to his office, came back and said "mr Gelber does not want to speak with you". We refused to leave until we can get copies of the files and a statement of why they no longer want to represent. Emmy called building security and police to escort us from the building without giving the files or a statement of why she is firing. We have a police report and now we are opening a complaint case with State Bar of California.

poor, disrespectful, unprofessional conduct and dishonesty coupled with little plan for assisting with your rights and health as an injured worker. I wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Karen Lewis and her review below.
