Attorney Rodriguez helped me with an unusual circumstance as I had both Longshore and an auto injury claim. My workers comp was through Longshore, and I was injured as a passenger by a driver that hit the vehicle I was in. I had two valid claims, but it is not easy, as an injured person to see a case through. I was out of work a lot, suffered harassment from my employer, and if I had not been a government employee in a union, I would have likely been fired. I was eventually fired...which was still illegal, but my employer waited until they realized there was to be a settlement. Due to my employer and its insurance carrier dragging their feet, plus pandemic, it took just over 3.5 years to settle my case. As the injured you must document everything, save every piece of paper, etc. One has to do one's part. When the lawyer says she needs something, give it to her. When she needs you to do something, do it. Is it easy? No, especially when you are not feeling well. But she has to have evidence to prove her case. She knows what she's doing. I live in the DFW area, and had to call around Houston and other port cities to find a Longshore attny. I was lucky to have found her. She only gets paid when there is a settlement, so it cost me nothing to get her help. I pray that I never need an accident/injury attorney again. But I would highly recommend her, especially if something complicated.
CAUTION…do not even give Laura or law firm a chance to help in any type of workman’s comp case. Including Eli (her assistant), they are only after getting paid so they will try to get the most fees owed to them right before a impairment rating is asked then will drop your case. Worse service, did not return calls or emails. Once Eli gets involved, the run around started. Zero stars is the real rating
It must be money because it sure wasn't a consideration to help me with my case.. FYI - If you're involved in a workman's comp case and you get sent for an MMI, and they give you an impairment rating, that you want to dispute along with putting you at MMI (maximum medical improvement) prematurely, This lawyer WILL NOT take your case.. Save your time.. Might wanna do that in every regard if the only interest is her own interest across the board..
Worst possible lawyer you could waste your money on. Shes a liar and a thief!!!
Be very careful with the lawyer Laura Rodríguez in my worker's compensation case there was a lot of deception and fraud since she did not present all my lessons before the judge, do not let yourself be fooled by your representative, they should not have a lawyer's license
