Made me take irrelevant IQ test for software development. Considering a complaint with EEOC given ChatGPT4's advice: Legal Considerations: Under laws enforced by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), employment tests must not be discriminatory and must be job-related and consistent with business necessity. If an IQ test doesn't directly measure skills and abilities that are critical for a software engineering role, its use could be challenged as not meeting these criteria. Risk of Discrimination: If the IQ test disproportionately screens out individuals from certain demographic groups and isn't relevant to the job, it could be considered discriminatory. The employer must prove that the test is a valid predictor of job performance and is not being used to discriminate against certain groups. Your Rights: As a job applicant, you have the right to question the relevance and application of such tests. If you believe the test was discriminatory or irrelevant, you can file a complaint with the EEOC. The EEOC investigates complaints of job discrimination related to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information.
I've applied to this place in the past and passed over many times. I think this place is collecting dating for future cold calls but I have no clue if they do real job staffing. Those online tests are a waste of effort.
I can agree with every negative sentiment on these reviews. They ask completely irrelevant questions. Spouses father, spouses mother occupations and every irrelevant question pertaining to a job interview. Stay away from this company at all costs. Not worth your sanity. Be safe out there. Cox is dominant company in industry, go work for the superior company.
Came here for a meeting had me in a room to connect to someone on a zoom called. Could have done it remotely wasteful of resources very unethical.
My partner isn’t the type to write reviews, but I am. He applied for an entry position at this company last month (July) and was sent to have 4 different interviews all with the exact same questions. These interviews were weeks apart resulting in a month going by. Only to be told no almost 2 months later. Not to mention that it took weeks to get an initial response due to the team being “out of office”.
