CA wouldn't need overcharge people through tolls and taxes to fix roads, streets, and/or highways, if it can reduce the State's car dependency. Promoting alternative modes of travel such as bicycling, public transit, bullet trains, and/or underground tube stations would greatly reduce traffic congestion and shorten rush hour commute times. When the State builds safer infrastructure for bicycles and pedestrians, people wouldn't be forced to drive everywhere for simple tasks such as going to the grocery store or picking up children from school.

CALTRANS is all about funding which doesn’t even fix our roads completely. All it is to fix roads is to increase the tolls and fix roads that are going to be even more poor on quality, rather than improving it.

Please reconsider the commercial trailer skirt requirement for truck drivers. It is very difficult to remove a 16ft. ramp from a trailer which has a an installed or retro- fitted ramp rack with a trailer skirt in the way. These ramps weigh 200 lbs if not more and are very difficult to remove and replace. Thank you in advance for your careful consideration.

Often the special trucks only swirl litter on 101, sf to sj, without sucking it up! Elevated Highway 280 in San Francisco has drains that are growing grass.that's how neglected are highways are! AND THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH ROADSIDE HIGHWAY LITTER!! Highway 280 South to 92 East has a right shoulder completely littered for months especially the transition ramp! HICKEY EXIT ALL THE WAY TO ECR EXIT ON 92E!!
