Michelle is a Senior Associate Attorney at Nishad Khan P.L. who focuses on residential and commercial real estate matters. Michelle attended the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She then attended law school at Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Michelle was the recipient of the Advanced Legal Research, Writing and Drafting Certificate, which focused on legal analysis, research, oral advocacy and the writing skills needed for success in the practice of law. She was also the recipient of the Founder’s Award for her significant contributions to the ideals and objectives of Florida Coastal School of Law. She participated in various pro-bono activities, which earned her a Pro Bono Honor Cord for her service to the Jacksonville community. Charles Gowland is the Managing Attorney in the firm’s Louisiana office and is licensed in North Carolina as well. He focuses his practice on first-party property insurance litigation, including commercial and residential property claims. Prior to joining the firm, Charles spent more than 25 years in various roles relating to insurance claims and litigation, with a particular focus on property insurance. He previously served as Vice President and General Counsel for the Claims Department of a national insurance company overseeing all P&C claims litigation for the entire country, and as Chief Counsel to the Division of Insurance Fraud for the State of Florida’s Department of Financial Services. He has also worked for several years at law firms both defending insurance companies and, for the past 4 years, assisting homeowners and commercial property owners in their first-party claims against insurance companies.

Rahysa Vargas is the founder and Managing Partner of Vargas Law , where she primarily represents clients in Personal Injury matters and with Commercial and Residential Real Estate needs including negotiations, closings and title.
