QUESTIONNAIRE
In the last year I have had several trials that went very well for my clients. One was a bankruptcy dischargeability trial that we won. Our case involved some interesting legal questions which were litigated in the federal bankruptcy court. We soundly defeated our opponent and won the day.
How did you build a successful practice?I have been in practice for 21 years and have found that word of mouth is the best referral.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Clients need to look for someone who is honest and competent. The lawyer must have both of those qualities to be successful.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Local knowledge, such as knowing the judge, is very important.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?In a phone conversation, I usually provide basic ideas about how to deal with issues within the case. I will often cover fees and other basics as well.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?I have been in practice in this area for 21 years and have come to know the local bar and have done well with the cases I have handled.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Winning a legal argument or hearing is the best part of the job. I only wish I had more of them.
What are your other interests in addition to law?I am interested in history and music and some literature.

Early on it was the intent of Mr. Kelly to practice in the areas of patent practice and litigation. However, after becoming immersed in the more humanistic practice of divorce and family law.
