About Jonathon
Jon is Chair of the Construction Law Practice Group. He devotes 100% of his practice to defending construction trades against defect claims, contract disputes, additional-insured litigation, and construction injury claims. Jon has successfully defended and resolved claims against his clients ranging from $1,000 to over $6,000,000. Jon's defense of the construction trade includes representation of general contractors, stucco installers, window manufacturers, framers, roofers, lumber distributors, HVAC installers, excavators, and masons. Jon's legal practice is guided by three construction principals: meeting with the client to outline goals, staying within budget, and working hard to get the job done. As a Junior Associate, Jon defended national automobile insurers at well over 100 arbitrations and also successfully defended corporations/individuals in five different jury trials in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Jon grew up in Merrill, Wisconsin and is a third-generation lawyer, with his grandfather recently celebrating his 55th year of practice. Despite living in Minnesota, Jon maintains that his blood runs green and gold for the Packers. As an avid outdoorsman, Jon spends his free time in the woods or on a boat. He currently lives in Edina with his wife, Kristi, and two sons.
