About Larry
Larry Zoglin graduated second in his class in 1978 from New York UniversitySchool of Law, which he attended on a full scholarship (through the Root-TildenPublic Interest Law Award) to study law in the public interest. At law school,he was a member of the Order of the Coif. In 1978 he also received a Masters ofPublic and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of PublicAffairs at Princeton University.
From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Zoglin was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the SouthernDistrict of California (San Diego), where he was responsible for investigationsand trials for a wide range of federal crimes. He then joined Paul, Weiss,Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He worked there five years, handling complexcivil cases, including those involving antitrust issues, securities fraud andinternational trade disputes.
In 1986, Mr. Zoglin was awarded a Fulbright Research Fellowship to studyinsider trading in the Japanese securities market. He returned to Japan in 1989,where he studied at a Zen Buddhist monastery for 11 years.
