After graduating law school in 2004, Digger returned home to rural Louisiana and went straight to work, trying his first case the week after being sworn in as a lawyer. Since then, Digger has spent his entire career representing individuals and entities in civil litigation and successfully representing clients in complex personal injury cases. “I always wanted to be in a position to help people, and I love the role being a lawyer allows to me to play,” he says. “I’ve always hated bullies and enjoy helping people combat bullies and large corporations.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He received his Law Degree from Loyola University in 2000. Initially, he began his legal career representing insurance companies, including Allstate Insurance Company, Encompass Insurance Company, Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company, Re-Insurance of American, and several others. During this period, he acquired a tremendous amount of trial experience and maintained an extremely high win ratio. After spending this time representing large companies, Tim decided to direct his energy and experience fighting these companies on behalf of the individual. In mid-2004, Tim started The Upton Law Firm and has focused all of his attention on representing “individuals” with great success. He has a true passion for assisting the “little guy” against these large organizations. Tim’s spectrum of legal services was broadened in 2004 and he began fighting for the rights of those charged with crimes by the federal and state authorities in Louisiana. Jacob Longman is currently the Managing Partner of Longman Jakuback, APLC. A botique litigation firm, Longman Jakuback specializes in complex and criminal litigation at the trial and appellate level in both state and federal court. Jacob spent time in both law enforcement and the military before attending law school. Before graduating from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, he was President of the Student Chapter of the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense lawyers, worked as a student investigator for the East Baton Rouge Public Defender's Office and was a judicial intern at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse. He career has taken him across the state of Louisiana. Several of these have set legal precedents in the field of criminal law. These include State v. Crockett, State v. McQuarter, State v. DiGeralmo, and State v. Steele. He is currently the President-Elect of the Louisiana Associate of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

L. LABAN LEVY is a partner with the law firm of Simon, Fitzgerald, Cooke, Reed & Welch. Mr. Levy graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1998 and received his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University Law School in 2002. Mr. Levy's practice is primarily in the area of Consumer Bankruptcy. Mr. Levy was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 2003. He served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Henry N. Brown, Jr. for the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeals from 2003 through 2004. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

Kelli Cook is a practicing lawyer in the state of Louisiana specializing in Bankruptcy. Ms. Cook received her J.D. from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

Jack E. "Bobby" Truitt was born in Texas, but raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from Jesuit High School of New Orleans, he attended Louisiana State University where he obtained a business administration degree with a minor in political science. He then obtained his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law and has been licensed in Louisiana and Texas since. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal District and Appellate Courts and has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court as well. Mr. Truitt began his practice with a small defense firm that practiced primarily admiralty, worker's compensation, and general casualty litigation. However, he soon joined a larger insurance defense firm in Metairie, Louisiana where he began trying many cases on behalf of major national clients such as Kmart, Cox Cable, Tonti Properties, and Walgreens; there, he obtained numerous "zero verdicts" in bench and jury trials. Mr. Truitt soon became a partner in this firm, but was dissatisfied with the "big firm" mentality, so he formed his own firm with two assistant district attorneys, who thereafter returned to practicing criminal law on a full-time basis. The Truitt Law Firm continued with the association of Jack E. Truitt, Bobby's father, who has since passed, and others. The firm continues to represent major national clients successfully at the trial and appellate levels. The firm has significant experience in the areas of pharmaceutical defense, automobile litigation, premises liability, construction litigation, worker's compensation, business litigation, and criminal defense. Mr. Truitt has been a presenter at many continuing education seminars for other lawyers, paralegals, and claims professionals. He is also a former member of the Louisiana Bar Association House of Delegates, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the prestigious Defense Research Institute. He has achieved the highest rating from his peers in Martindale Hubbell, and the firm recently was awarded the distinction of approval by A. M. Best Insurance Ratings. Mr. Truitt serves on the Board of Directors for the West St. Tammany YMCA and is involved in other organizations benefitting the community. Mr. Truitt resides in Covington, Louisiana with his wife and three boys.
