About Maria

Come in...I know you are facing difficulties in your life.  Let me help you sort out the problems and walk with you through this challenging time.  Life isn't always fair...but you have a friend who will face your ups and downs with you and give you honest, no-nonsense assessments of your situation.  Let's talk.

Maria Tu is an immigrant from Taiwan.  She has amazed many with her ability to speak, read and write English and Chinese fluently and accent free.   She is licensed to practice law in Washington State and Texas.

Maria has experiences in many facets of life, including being an assistant to Washington US Senator Dan Evans in Washington D.C., legal clerk for all 6 judges at Kitsap County, two years of full time internship with Washington Education Association and defended teachers in administrative hearings, and attorney for cases involving cross cultural and international business transactions in Asia and US. Then, needed time to reflect ---Maria took a sabbatical from law for 10 years.
In Texas, Maria owned and operated her own successful wholesale business beforecoming back to the practice of law.  This time around, Maria knows that the practice of law is only worthwhile if it is about the people she helps.  Being an Assistant DA in Collin County was her first step towards that objective.

Maria started her private law practice in 2005 because she finally realized that she is happiest when she is a "common people" lawyer. This time, she dedicated her practice by putting the interest of others before her own and helping those who truly needs help. Integrity, honesty, sincerity is what Maria carries with her every day.

Maria will provide you with common sense approach legal representation that is based on her solid legal foundation and her life experiences.  Maria will walk side by side with you in crossing that "bridge over trouble water".
