John Piccin has been practicing law for over 40 years. He is rated AV Preeminent for more than 15 years by Martindale-Hubbell. This is the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards. Born in Willimantic, Connecticut, he moved to Ocala in 1974. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has handled innumerable jury trials resulting in favorable outcomes for his clients. John has litigated a wide variety of personal injury cases, insurance disputes, and wrongful death cases. John is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization limited to trial lawyers who have achieved verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more. Katherine Piccin Glynn was born in Southfield, Michigan on May 29, 1969. She was a Ford Foundation Scholar at Eckerd College, from which she graduated with honors in 1991. She then graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law, was admitted to The Florida State Bar in 1995 and US District Court, Middle District in 1999. Upon graduation, she was appointed Assistant State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. During the next four years she gained extensive jury trial experience, mainly with white collar crime and other felony cases.

Kyle Bagen is an associate attorney with the Bagen Law Firm. As with all the attorneys in the firm, his practice area is limited exclusively to Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, with heavy emphasis on all types of motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, and truck accidents. Kyle was born and raised in north central Florida and is a graduate of Buchholz High School in Gainesville. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and graduated from Barry University School of Law in Orlando. Prior to graduating from law school, Kyle spent several summers working as a law clerk for our firm. He also enjoyed a semester abroad in Spain, studying International Law and traveling throughout Europe. Kyle is an avid motorcycle rider and has also had a lifelong interest in athletics, including basketball, football, and golf. He’s a past winner of the 8th Judicial Bar Association Golf Tournament.

Joel L. Piedra is the Managing Attorney of The Pendas law Firm Orlando office. He joined The Pendas Law Firm in 2009. Mr. Piedra is experienced in Personal Injury and Products Liability cases. He dedicates his practice to helping accident victims get a firm understanding of the legal process and their individual cases and assists clients in obtaining the maximum value for their claims either through settlements or trial. He continued to sharpen his trial skills by working for one of the top criminal defense law firms in Central Florida. In 2005, Mr. Piedra moved to Miami and commenced his career as a civil trial lawyer working in the personal injury defense field. Mr. Piedra received his JD from Stetson University College of Law. He received his BA, with honors, from the Florida State University. Mr. Piedra is admitted to practice in Florida and in the U.S. District court for the Middle District of Florida. During his undergraduate tenure Mr. Piedra was accepted as a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma, the only national criminal justice honor society for criminal justice majors. Mr. Piedra is a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami.

Mr. Fine was born in New York, New York and was raised in the northeast, where he studied sociology at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. He then graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1976. In law school, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. Mr. Fine was admitted into the Florida Bar in 1976, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1977, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida in 1991, and the United States Court of Appeals 11th Circuit in 1982. Upon graduation, Mr. Fine practiced as an Assistant Public Defender in the Third Judicial Circuit office in Lake City from 1976-1977. He then worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the Gainesville office of the Public Defender from 1977-1980. In 1980, he founded the firm, which is now known as Fine, Farkash, & Parlapiano, P.A., where he wanted to exclusively represent victims of personal injury in claims against negligent parties. Mr. Fine is a highly experienced personal injury attorney and is recognized for his commitment to the law. He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating* (AV) and was a Grievance Committee Chairman for the Eighth Judicial Circuit for 2006-2008. He coached a trial team for the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1994 and has taught as an adjunct faculty in the trial practice course at the law school since 1983.

James Michael Sawyer hails from South Florida but has been a resident of Gainesville off and on since the 1970’s when he moved here to attend the University of Florida for his Bachelor’s Degree. Mike began a martial arts career as a teenager in Miami, which continued while he attended UF and went on to become one of the world’s foremost promoters and authorities on sport martial arts. He is the co-founder of many prestigious martial art associations including the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) and the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA), as well as an on-air expert analyst for ESPN and other sports channels.
