Paul T. Schemel, Attorney

Paul, who is licensed in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, advises clients in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, land use, real estate development (industrial, commercial and residential) and estate planning. In addition to his legal practice Paul has also served as an elected official of the Greencastle Borough Council and taught business law and ethics as an adjunct instructor at Pennsylvania State University - Mont Alto. During 2008 and 2009 Paul served a one year appointment to the US Department of State as a member of a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Iraq where he worked daily with Iraqi government officials, tribal leaders and businesses, as well as the US military, building the capacity of the Iraqis toward a sustainable civil society. Paul was invited to participate at the Strategic Implementation Seminar at the US Army War College and has served on the boards of various charitable organizations. Paul holds both a Bachelors and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Dallas, a Juris Doctor degree from Regent University and an International Diploma in Restorative Justice from Queen's University, Canada. Paul, his wife Lucy and their five children live in Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
