After high school, Attorney Laurence B. Green enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served in both South Korea and Japan. Following his military career, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1966. Upon graduation, Mr. Green went to work as a laborer in the open hearth furnace at the Homestead Works of U.S. Steel and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. Thereafter, he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1971. Mr. Green began his legal career as a staff attorney for Neighborhood Legal Services Association. He then left that position to open a private law office in Pittsburgh in the general practice of law, concentrating in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury litigation. He is a founding partner of the law firm of Berger and Green, P.C., where he represents individuals involved in accidents as a Pennsylvania personal injury attorney. Mr. Green handles personal injury claims such as car accidents, dog bites, defective products, and slip and fall accidents. Born in New York City in 1963, Jennifer Modell graduated from the University of Chicago in 1985 with honors. She obtained a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1991 and was on the Dean's list.  She is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts, New York State, and in any Social Security Court throughout the United States.Ms. Modell began her career working as a criminal defense attorney at the Legal Aid Society of New York. Thereafter, she did legal work in the areas of immigration law and civil rights law and practiced disability law with the Rhode Island Disability Law Center. Ms. Modell headed the Rhode Island Disability Law Center's Brain Injury Project. She also taught Immigration Law and Business Law courses at the University of Long Island, New York. In 2007, she joined the law firm of Berger and Green to represent disabled people throughout Western Pennsylvania in claims for Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Attorney Amanda J. Bonnesen graduated from the Linsly School in 1999. She then attended the University of South Carolina where she earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She was also named to the Criminal Justice Honor Society and was a participant in the National Student Exchange at the University of Wyoming. Being an independent thinker and wanting to further her own ideas, Ms. Bonnesen went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of Dayton School of Law. During law school, she participated in the Pro Bono Appellate Project and served in the University’s Law Clinic where she offered free legal assistance to those in need. She also clerked for Judge Walter Rice in Federal District Court of the Sixth circuit and Judge Jennifer Sargus in Belmont County, Ohio. Ms. Bonnesen began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Allegheny County, where she gained extensive courtroom experience. Attorney Bonnesen is a managing partner at Berger and Green, P. C., where she represents individuals in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia in Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases.
