Anna Liu is a partner at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. and focuses her practice on real estate and landlord-tenant litigation. She has significant experience representing clients in a variety of matters including partitions, buyer-seller disputes, and commercial and residential landlord-tenant actions. Anna has tried cases, handled appeals, mediated and arbitrated disputes, and negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of her clients. Anna is active in the legal community and serves on the on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Real Property Law Section and is the former Co-Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Solo and Small Firm Executive Committee. Anna was awarded the Outstanding Barrister Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2020 and has been named to the “Rising Stars” list published by Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2017, a distinction reserved for only 2.5% of attorneys in Northern California.

Busch is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, several United States District Courts, and all the courts of the State of California. Jethro received his undergraduate degree from the University of California (Berkeley), holds a law degree from Tulane University, and has been practicing law since 1981. His practice consists primarily of real estate litigation, including wrongful eviction and habitability disputes, disputes connected with buying or selling real property, and disputes between co-owners or condo owners. Jethro is also a published author in the real estate field, served for five (5) years on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California (which subsequently was spun off into the California Lawyers Association), and served for several years as the co-chair of the State Bar Landlord-Tenant Subsection. Jethro has taught numerous continuing legal education classes to other attorneys, including at numerous Annual Meetings of the State Bar, and at several Real Property Law Section Annual Retreats. In his free time, Jethro enjoys cooking/baking, going to museums, travel, reading, and watching movies (including at the Silent Film Festival).

I have concentrated my law practice in real property, especially landlord-tenant law, since 1982. Nathan Verbiscar-Brown is an attorney at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. He is an experienced litigator, having represented clients in federal and state courts throughout California, as well as in New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Idaho. His practice areas include complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, franchise law, trademark enforcement, employment law, trespass, catastrophic personal injury, class action, and more. Over the first ten years of his practice, he obtained settlements and judgments in excess of $14,000,000. Nathan now applies his zeal for justice to real estate litigation, with an emphasis on landlord-tenant disputes. He firmly believes in the principles of civility, both within the courtroom and without, and he strives for timely and efficient resolution of his clients’ matters. Above all, Nathan is guided by his compassion and optimism. Nathan earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he also earned a B.A. with Honors, graduating cum laude. He is admitted to practice in the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern District Courts of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys swimming, skiing, and camping with his children. He is an Eagle Scout and a native son of Sonoma County, California.
