Scott Edgett | Plano Criminal Defense Lawyer

Attorney Scott E. Edgett dedicated his life to becoming a lawyer with the goal of assisting those who need it most. Living by the motto “bad things happen to good people,” Attorney Edgett prides himself on his work as a trial attorney.

He believes that a trial attorney is an individual with enough confidence and experience to stand before a jury and relentlessly seek justice.

Attorney Edgett comes from the town of Erie, Pennsylvania. While attending college, he aspired to become a police officer with the intent of helping others. He soon graduated from the police academy, but soon realized that a career in law would allow him to reach even more people, so he set out to get his law degree.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, he moved to Florida to attend NSU Shepard Broad College of Law.

There, he served as a clerk for the Honorable Patti Englander-Henning of the 17th judicial circuit while also working full-time for an accomplished law firm in Fort Lauderdale. In only two and a half short years, Attorney Edgett graduated law school.

Following law school, he spent time working on civil litigation cases, including:

After helping injured individuals recover compensation for several years, Scott developed a desire to be in the courtroom as much as possible. He shifted into working solely as a criminal defense lawyer, fighting to preserve the Constitution and defending the rights of individuals who need him most.
