Rob Kornfeld has been practicing personal injury law for more than 38 years and he is licensed to practice law in Washington, New York, and Arizona. He graduated from the University of Vermont (UVM) in 1976 with college honors in the area of European Studies. Because he’d been raised in a medical family, Rob started out in pre-med at UVM, and despite a strong interest in medicine, the study of law turned out to be his true calling. Since his arrival in Rapid City, Brad has always been active in the local Pennington County Bar Association (PCBA). In 2009, Brad was nominated as the Secretary/Treasurer for the PCBA. In 2010, Brad served as the Vice-President before taking on the role of President in 2011. The CASA Program recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to advocate in court for the best interest of abused and neglected children. The goal of the CASA Program is to have a “voice” in court for every child who needs one. Brad served as the Vice-Chairperson for the Board of Directors until 2014. In 2010, Brad was asked to serve on the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association as the Chair for the Recruitment & Services Committee. The purpose of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association is to preserve the jury system, promote justice, and establish a high standard of ethics among trial lawyers. In 2011, Brad was appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Governors for the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association. In 2014, Brad was elected to serve on the Board of Bar Commissioner for the State Bar of South Dakota. The Board of Bar Commissioners has many responsibilities which relate to promoting the interests of the legal profession and working to improve the relationships between the profession and the public. Brad is an avid golfer and enjoys organizing golf tournaments to raise money for charity. In law school, Brad organized the Delta Theta Phi charity golf tournament for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity. Brad continued that tradition in 2007 when he organized the Seventh Circuit Charity Golf Tournament, which involves a yearly golf tournament that raises money for charities and worthy causes in the Rapid City area. Each year Brad has continued to organize this charitable event and has helped raise over $60,000 for charity. For the past several years Brad has served on the Worker’s Compensation Committee for the State Bar of South Dakota. As a member of this committee Brad is able to monitor developments in South Dakota’s workers’ compensation system and monitor how the changes may affect South Dakota employees. Brad enjoys spending time with friends and family. He and his wife Ann have two children—Megan and Brody. Aside from work, Brad stays busy coaching and attending his children’s various sports and events, traveling, and golfing.

I graduated from law school with the goal of working in criminal defense. For approximately the first four years of my practice, I accepted privately retained and court-appointed criminal defense cases and gained valuable trial experience. After I was rear-ended three times in one year and suffered compounded whiplash, I became interested in personal injury law. For landlord tenant cases, we must first do a conflicts check, then my initial consultation rate is $200.00 which is a reduction of our normal $300.00 hourly rate. Matt White is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing. Matt earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 1994 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar that same year. After graduating law school Matt served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. While working as an Assistant District Attorney Matt tried many cases to verdict and gained invaluable courtroom experience. In 1999, Matt and his family moved to Auburn and joined the firm of Walker, Hill, Adams, Umbach, Meadows & Walton and began practicing general civil litigation. Matt wass a founding partner in the Adams, White, Oliver, Short & Forbus, LLP firm which formed in 2002. In 2021, Matt started his own practice which specializes in Workers Compensation law, Employment Law, and general civil litigation. Mr. Petri has been a long-time resident of Indiana. He attended high school in Hammond, Indiana. He later attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, after which he served several years in the U.S. Governmental Service. His experiences in the service inspired him to enroll in law school, and the skills he gained during his service were an invaluable foundation for the practice of law. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law in 1966, and was immediately elected Prosecuting Attorney for Owen County. He served as Prosecuting Attorney until 1974. Eric Staton lived in Illinois until he was in the second grade, then in Spring, Texas, until his junior year in high school. His family moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1990, where he finished high school at Heritage High School. After high school, Eric studied English and Philosophy in Regis University, so the practice of Law appealed to him because he wanted a career that utilized his strengths in writing and analytical thinking. Eric studied Law at Rutgers School of Law. Eric was mentored in the area of workers’ compensation by one of the best lawyers who ever practiced in that area in Colorado, and he focuses his legal practice primarily on workers’ compensation claims, wrongful death claims, and injury claims of all types.
