Jay Tidwell is committed to excellence in his practice and service to his clients. He practices in all state district and circuit courts and federal courts in Alabama. His civil trial practice focuses on personal injury, including auto accidents, trucking accidents and construction accidents; wrongful death, worker’s compensation, and products liability. He provides significant counsel to construction companies, homeowners, and contractors. He also serves businesses in the area of corporate formation, contracts, and litigation.

Mr. Aspromonte is the managing partner of Dansker & Aspromonte. He is a native New Yorker and the son of second generation Italian immigrants. By the age of 16, he had lost both parents and entered the work force. While attending high school and college, he supported himself by working at a large retail pharmacy where he quickly rose to a managerial position. He graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College in 1974 with a Bachelor in Business Administration and in 1979, obtained his Juris Doctor at Brooklyn Law School, where he formed the Italian-American Law Students Association. He also secured a clerkship as legal assistant to the warden at the Brooklyn House of Detention for Men. After he was admitted to the bar, Mr. Aspromonte opened his first law office and concentrated in civil and criminal litigation. He subsequently limited his practice to personal injury and medical malpractice. In 1989, he merged his practice with Paul Dansker and formed Dansker & Aspromonte. Throughout his career, Mr. Aspromonte has tried many cases and negotiated millions of dollars in settlements. He gained notoriety in several cases, most notably in the case of Wan v. Rochester University Medical Center involving a young college student who died during a routine clinical research trial. Mr. Aspromonte credits his successes to the work ethic he learned at a very young age. He prides himself on being completely self-made. “Luck has nothing to do with it,” he proudly says. “Everything I’ve achieved was accomplished through hard work and determination.” And that work ethic is reflected in every aspect of the practice. He takes nothing for granted, and the standard of hard work and determination he set still provides the cornerstone for the effort that goes into every case accepted by the firm. Today, Mr. Aspromonte serves as president of the Congress of Italian Americans Organization (CIAO), which provides social services to individuals who are disadvantaged. He is a founder and board member of Community Understanding for Racial and Ethnic Equality (CURE), which brings diverse ethnic, religious and civic leaders together to promote harmony and to resolve disputes. He is a founding member of the New Era Democrats (NED), a political action group that supports qualified candidates regardless of party affiliation, and he serves on the board of the Ralph J. Sansone Foundation, a philanthropic organization that raises money and awards scholarships to deserving students in financial need.

Karen Jacobs has been practicing law for almost 20 years. She graduated from Loyola Law School and has been trained as a mediator. Prior to becoming a plaintiffs' attorney, Karen Jacobs was in-house counsel for one of the largest insurance companies in Southern California, giving her insight into how cases are evaluated and making her uniquely positioned to get the highest possible settlement for her clients. Karen has been a vocal advocate for clients in all phases of litigation. As a result of her skill and tenacity, she has a very high trial success rate. In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and children and doing probono legal work for underprivileged children, the elderly, and immigrant families.

I have practiced and litigated in various fields of the law, particularly with respect to personal injury, small business, contracts, and criminal cases. I have successfully handled cases throughout Central Florida, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties and I know both sides of the conflict. After graduating from law school with honors from Mercer University in 1993, my first job was with a firm that handled lawsuits on behalf of insurers. I was mentored in and taught the strategies and tactics of the defense. As I gained that experience, I came to realize that I was on the wrong side of the struggle. I made the most rewarding move of my career when I joined the Plaintiff’s bar and began helping victims in their fight to recover from their losses. While I have never looked back, I believe that the knowledge I gained representing my now adversary, gives me valuable insight and perspective in overcoming the obstacles and roadblocks the insurance lawyers raise. Shannon Moore was born in Huntsville, Alabama. He is a graduate of Grissom High School and he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He went on to get his juris doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. Upon graduation from law school in 1998 he went on to found a law firm with a fellow graduate from law school. He has been in the private practice of law since that time. His practice focuses on criminal law, family law, and personal injury. Over the years, Shannon has represented numerous individuals and has been involved with both bench trials as well as jury trials. In addition, he was the prosecutor for the City of Madison for several years. Shannon is a past president of the Madison County Young Lawyers and he is a member of the Madison County Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association. In addition to his legal activities, Shannon is an active member of the local community. He is a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church and has taught Sunday school there. He was a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Board at Virginia College in Huntsville, Al. He currently is a board member on the South Huntsville Civic Association and a board member of the South Huntsville Library Steering Committee. Shannon Moore has managed several political campaigns over the years and has run for office himself.
