Daniel Hartpence was born and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia. As the son of a chiropractor and teacher, he was instilled with the drive and motivation necessary to succeed and excel. He went to Starr's Mill High School, then on to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. At Eckerd, Daniel played baseball and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Classic History.

I first fell in love with the idea of becoming an attorney while watching fictional defense attorney Perry Mason on TV. Played by Raymond Burr, that character's no-nonsense attitude and his constant dedication to defending his clients struck a nerve. It's what made me want to commit to helping people with their legal needs. Inspired by the show, I decided to become an attorney. After attending historic Hampden-Sydney College and graduating in 1973, I attended law school at the University of Virginia, where I graduated in 1977. After being admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1979, I opened my practice in Lynchburg that same year. That's where I've been for almost 40 years, providing dedicated and personal legal representation to many people over the years, operating under the belief that every client is deserving of understanding and respect. One of the things that bring me the greatest amount of joy from my career is knowing how many people I've helped through some really tough circumstances in their life. Hiring an attorney can be a stressful thing, which is why I try to make it as easy as possible for them. I listen to the details of their case and do my best to make sure I have the story straight before I come up with an idea of how to pursue their case. Because I've been around a long time, I can usually find some parallel or similar cases to draw inspiration from — and if there's something I haven't heard yet, I'm pretty creative when it comes to forming a legal strategy. I believe in honesty when it comes to working with my clients because we need to be able to trust one another with all the details of the case. In addition to a "never give up" attitude and perseverance, my clients can expect me to give them the unvarnished truth in regards to their legal situation and the options available. It doesn't make sense to try to sell you on something that won't work given the circumstances, after all. By establishing trust and doing everything I can to make sure my clients are respected, I've developed a pretty good track record of helping people with their problems. When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy a lot of different hobbies. In addition to being a former "Little All American" football player, I like to spend my time running, exercising, and can even be found doing a little ballroom dancing.

David Green is a graduate of McNeese State University and has a strong background in law enforcement and criminal law. While earning his undergraduate degree, he served as a deputy sheriff with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for nine years, seven of which he worked as a detective handling narcotics, vice and asset forfeiture cases. Green then earned his law degree and worked as an attorney for fifteen years, gaining both criminal defense and prosecutorial experience. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, Texas, and then in Calcasieu Parish, where he worked for three years. While there, Green was appointed as the prosecuting attorney for the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (CAT) in Calcasieu Parish. He is a criminal law instructor at McNeese and also provides training for the McNeese Forensic Chemistry class. He serves as the legal instructor for the CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) program, which is a collaborative educational effort between area law enforcement, healthcare providers and mental health organizations. Green has also been an instructor at the Calcasieu Parish Regional Training Academy where he taught newly recruited police officers and sheriff’s deputies various legal aspects including Louisiana criminal law and procedure, police report writing and search and seizure law. Mr. Green is one of only a few attorneys in the region with a law enforcement background. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas, and has practiced extensively in both state and federal courts. A native of Angleton, Texas in Brazoria County, Jeff Gilbert is a 6th generation Texan with deep roots to his community. Graduating from Angleton High School in 1978, Mr. Gilbert attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he was involved in the leadership of many campus service and social organizations. Upon completion of his business degree (BBA) in 1982, Mr. Gilbert returned to Brazoria County going to work for the First Freeport National Bank in Freeport, Texas. Mr. Gilbert later returned to Baylor where he enrolled in the graduate school of business obtaining his degree (MBA) while working as the night manager of the Baylor Student Union. Upon graduation, Mr. Gilbert began a career in banking and corporate investments before entering South Texas College of Law at the age of 27. While in law school, Jeff participated in many intramural moot court and mock trial competitions. Interestingly and of note, Jeff tried and won his first jury trial while in law school serving as an intern with the Harris County District Attorney's office before receiving his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in December 1989. Mr. Gilbert then accepted a position in the Trial Bureau of the Harris County District Attorney's office in Houston, Texas where he tried multiple jury and non-jury cases as a juvenile, misdemeanor and then felony prosecutor. In 1993, Mr. Gilbert left the District Attorney's office to join a prestigious Houston based civil litigation firm. Since that time, his practice has concentrated on litigation, including medical malpractice, pharmaceutical and toxic tort litigation with firms in Houston, Angleton and Dallas, Texas. In January 2006, Mr. Gilbert began a Brazoria County based practice and formed Jeffrey R. Gilbert, P.C. Mr. Gilbert is a member of The State Bar of Texas (Section Memberships include: Criminal Law, Family Law, Juvenile Law), The Brazoria County Bar Association (Past President 2008-2009), The Houston Bar Association, and is a Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation. Joshua Robertson concentrates in the areas of real estate litigation, business litigation, criminal defense and personal injury litigation in both state and federal court. Mr. Robertson received his Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1996. He attended Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2001. While in law school, Mr. Robertson earned several scholarships through the law school's Program in International Human Rights Law whereby he served internships with a human rights organization in Kathmandu, Nepal and with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Robertson joined Cohen Garelick & Glazier in May 2005 after practicing in Johnson County, Indiana for several years. Mr. Robertson is a member of the Sagamore American Inn of Court and is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana Bar Association. Mr. Stein represents parties to civil and criminal actions in state and federal courts and other tribunals. He has handled numerous jury trials, bench trials, proceedings before arbitration tribunals, mediation sessions, and appeals, including appeals to the Supreme Court of Illinois. Mr. Stein usually represents business interests in commercial disputes, but he also often representing individuals in estate contests and personal injury litigation.
