James N. Scarff, II, is a transplant from Jackson, Mississippi, where he was born and raised. After high school he initially played football at the University of Mississippi until an injury ended his football career. He then transferred to Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi where he would receive his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in May 2003. Shortly thereafter, James received his Master of Business Administration degree from Millsaps College in May 2005. While at Millsaps College he received the Millsaps Award, Endowed Scholarship, and the Dean’s Scholarship. In August of 2005, James began law school at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. While in law school, James was a member of the Environmental Law Society and one of the founding members of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, while managing to stay on the Dean’s List. After graduating in the top quarter of his law school class, James went to work for The Penton Law Firm out of Bogalusa, Louisiana where he practiced Mass Tort Litigation. His firm also served on the Plaintiff Steering Committee (PSC) for those harmed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. His main focus at the firm was global pharmaceutical settlements and Multi-District Litigation (MDL). Those cases included Vytorin, Vioxx, Celebrex, Viagra, DPC Arizona, and other mass tort actions. Over $400 million in settlement funds was distributed. In June 2009, James moved back home to his roots in Jackson, MS and started his own practice. At Scarff Law Firm, LLC, James took on personal injury cases, domestic/family law cases, DUI, criminal defense, and business transactions. At that time, he was also general counsel for three separate businesses. While continuing his own practice, James became a trial lawyer associate at The McRae Law Firm, PLLC, in May 2012 and worked on briefing appeals to the Mississippi Supreme Court as well as Federal Court in the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. In December 2015, James reconnected with his old high school sweetheart who had moved to Omaha, Nebraska after college. After a brief courtship, he married Emily Knight Scarff in May 2017 and promptly moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Where he shares a blended family with his wife. He has two step-sons, Hayden and Hudson Koesters, and a new addition to the Scarff Family came in September 2018, Colt Hayes Scarff. James also has a daughter, Emery Rose Scarff, who resides with her mother back in Mississippi.

In addition to working for a prestigious Boston Law firm, He has worked for the District Attorney’s office in Bristol County, MA and has handled over a thousand cases. He has successfully tried fifty-four jury and numerous bench trials. Amit Singh has represented hundreds of clients nationwide at hearings in front of Administrative law judges for social security disability, workers’ compensation and immigration matters, and he is a certified mediator. Attorney Singh handles criminal defense and workers’ compensation and personal injury matters for the firm in both MA and RI. Christian W. Francis is a trial lawyer serving Northeast Pennsylvania and the surrounding region. Christian's experience defending these organizations in high stakes litigation has given him a distinct advantage that he can now use against these types of defendants in his current practice. Christian is admitted to practice in all of Pennsylvania’s state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts. Born and raised in the area, Christian currently resides in South Abington with his wife and three children.

Over his more than three decades of practice, David Japha has earned a reputation for resolving difficult and complex matters, sometimes being the second or third lawyer to take on a case. David has tried many criminal and civil cases to conclusion and argued numerous appeals, post-conviction cases and cases involving mental health issues. He also currently represents clients in federal and state administrative matters, including ongoing matters before the Consumer Products Safety Commission. David got his start in litigation before leaving the University of Denver College of Law, where he tried his first DUI case in state court through a program called the student law office. He also negotiated settlements and argued his first administrative appeal before the Social Security Administration in the winter of 1984, before his law school graduation in May of that year. Soon after starting out, David shared office space with his current partners, Don Jacobson and Daniel Levin at Ptarmigan Place. There he learned law office management hanging out his shingle and doing evictions, collections and court-appointed federal criminal cases. And, it was there, in federal court, that David truly cut his teeth in criminal defense litigation, culminating in his appointment to the Criminal Justice Act committee (which oversaw the appointment of conflict counsel in federal court) by then-Chief Judge Richard Matsch. Over 30 years of practice has given David the opportunity to be involved in some amazing cases, including taking depositions in Katmandu, Nepal in a complex criminal case in 1991; representing a witness in the trial of Timothy McVeigh (where David was also a credentialed reporter for the Intermountain Jewish News); handling criminal matters in Nebraska, Kansas and California and appearing in Washington State. David has been an expert witness for the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Regulation Counsel in the area of attorney fees for court appointed counsel.

Joshua Paul Jones is a knowledgeable trial attorney with over seven years of courtroom experience. Mr. Jones started his own law firm in 2011 after practicing at both the Montgomery County District Attorney's office and the law firm of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. After graduating from Samford University in 2002 Mr. Jones worked at the law firm of Marsh, Rickard and Bryan, P.C. for one year before starting law school at Faulkner University's Jones School of Law. While in law school Mr. Jones was instrumental in trial team competition as well as a second year class officer. During law school he interned at Northwestern Mutual Insurance company and the Montgomery County District Attorney's office. Mr. Jones graduated from law school in 2006 and immediately took a position with the District Attorney's office prosecuting felony cases. From 2006-2011 Mr. Jones worked in several divisions of the Montgomery County District Attorney's office. He worked for two and a half years in the adult division of the DA's office prosecuting various violent, property and narcotics crimes. During that time Mr. Jones took over a dozen felony cases to trial in front of a jury. In addition he tried countless bench trials and misdemeanor cases. From there Mr. Jones was transferred to the juvenile division and continued to try felony and misdemeanor cases for another two years. After leaving the District Attorney's office Mr. Jones worked for the law firm of Beasley Allen in their toxic torts division. During his time at Beasley Allen Mr. Jones worked on the BP oil spill litigation before starting his own practice.

Ricky Dayaram began his career as an Assistant Public Defender in the First Judicial Circuit in Okaloosa County. As an Assistant Public Defender for three and a half years, Ricky has defended hundreds of clients involving charges from misdemeanors to felonies that are punishable by life in prison. Ricky has experience in several areas of criminal law including: Assault & Battery, DUI, Drug Possession, Drug Trafficking or Sale, Sexual Offenses including Sexual Battery and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of Children, Weapons & Firearms offenses, Burglary, Robbery, Thefts, and Violations of Probations/Community Control.
