Sailing is another passion of mine, and I lived aboard my sailboat in the mid-1990s in the harbor just off Galveston Bay. Travel fascinates me, too. My next destination is Italy. I’ve been to Greece, and to stand in the palace of King Mynos was thrilling. I enjoy cooking and gardening, and I’m always searching for new foods and new recipes.

Hurricane Katrina slammed into New Orleans forcing the evacuation of my family. Initially we moved to rural Georgia, then to Minnesota and finally to the Pacific Northwest. Heber Simmons III, the founder of Simmons Dallas, PLLC, is a lawyer who always remembers whom he represents, and keeps their interests at heart from start to finish. Jamie L. Cox is a partner at Willson & Pechacek, PLC, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. A native of Wapello, Iowa, Mr. Cox graduated with honors and distinction from the University of Iowa, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in history and sociology in 1998.
