About Stanley
Stan practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on domestic and international patent prosecution, and counsels clients on various intellectual property matters, including licensing, patent infringement, and patent validity issues.
Stan has prosecuted patent applications in the computer software and mechanical arts. Regarding computer software, Stan has worked in the following technology fields: telecommunications, Internet technologies and Internet marketing, cable networks, user interfaces, graphic display and 3D-rendering, and data mining. In the mechanical arts, Stan has worked in the following fields: aerospace, mining, lasers and optics, medical devices, radiography, photographic process printers, scanners, holographic printing techniques; radio frequency measurement devices, batteries, rotary barrel engines and conventional combustion engines; pulverizing mills, and broadband transmission utilizing wavelets.
Prior to joining Merchant & Gould, Stan was a patent attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and prior to that with Holme, Roberts & Owen LLP.
Stan enjoys reading, playing basketball, and participating with his dear wife in the various life events of their four children.
