I have been practicing law for over 25 years, representing individuals and small business owners in New York City and Long Island, with the legal issues that arise in their everyday business or personal life. For business owners, I act as a general business advisor, help form new businesses, review and negotiate contracts, including operating agreements, vendor agreements, independent contractor agreements, and commercial leases. I also teach clients how to avoid disputes by showing them what to do to ensure that they get paid at the end of a deal, how to protect themselves against liability and how to operate their businesses efficiently. Kofsky, PLLC, in November 2008, after having worked at law firms both large and small in New York City. At Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom, LLP, I gained experience working with businesses, reviewing and analyzing business and real estate contracts and operating agreements to identify potential liabilities and compliance issues, and help manage risk. I also examined organizational structures and operating revenues and worked on joint ventures and other transactions. After leaving Skadden, I worked at several small boutique law firms at which I gained experience interacting with clients on a personal level in order to fully understand their needs and accomplish their goals. Who is Albert E. Norato, Jr.? He is not just some white-collared reclusive lawyer who works for the nice sports care and lavish lifestyle. Al was originally born and raised in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. Albert moved to St. Paul Minnesota where he attended and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. During his law school career, he multitasked as a volunteer for the defense counsel as well as an intern for the honorable judge Hon. Robert Lynn in Hennepin County, primarily working on several high profile cases that involved the 1992 assassination of a Minneapolis police officer Jerome Haaf. Eventually, Albert moved back to the East Coast and settled in Suffolk County. In 2000, he joined the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society as a staff attorney for the Family Law Bureau, where he handled a variety of cases. Along with his casework, he handled his own appeals in a truly dedicated fashion. In 2001, he was transferred to the District Court Bureau where he worked in general trial parts and was ultimately permitted to become a member of the D-35 Felony Team. In 2003, Albert decided to open his own legal practice where he handles predominantly every type of criminal action in the State of New York. Bridget Tartaglia is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Ms. Tartaglia received her Juris Doctor with honors from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1995. While attending Touro, Ms. Tartaglia was one of the founding members and the Research Editor of the Environmental Law Journal. Ms. Tartaglia was instrumental in publishing the first edition to the Law Journal in 1995. She also received numerous academic honors during her tenure at Touro, including a Community Service Award and the American Jurisprudence Aware of Excellence in Creditor’s Rights. She was active and integral member of the Columbian Lawyers Association where she served as President. She also served as intern for the Honorable Howard Levitt of the Supreme Court, State of New York, County of Nassau.
