Adair Buckner was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She attended both undergraduate and law school at Texas Tech, and her blood runs red and black. Her husband’s grandmother was the very first graduate of Texas Tech. Her children were the 56th & 57th members of her husband’s family to attend Tech. Adair majored in business management as an undergraduate, finishing with honors. She immediately began law school and graduated with highest honors. While in law school, Adair was the Comments Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif (the top 10% of the class). When she finished law school in 1976, Adair moved back to Amarillo to begin her law practice. She has been in law firms, large and small, during her practice and is now a sole practitioner. Harvey L. Cox has been practicing law in Texas since 1990 and has extensive experience working with families and businesses. He limits his practice to estate planning and asset protection planning. Harvey earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one from Dallas Bible College in 1983 and the other from Criswell College in 1987. Between those two degrees, Harvey did work on a Master’s of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. He left Dallas Seminary in 1987 to pursue a career in law, graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 1989. Harvey did return to his theological studies, completing a Master’s of Theology degree in December 2018 at Campbellsville University School of Theology. A native of Angleton, Texas in Brazoria County, Jeff Gilbert is a 6th generation Texan with deep roots to his community. Graduating from Angleton High School in 1978, Mr. Gilbert attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he was involved in the leadership of many campus service and social organizations. Upon completion of his business degree (BBA) in 1982, Mr. Gilbert returned to Brazoria County going to work for the First Freeport National Bank in Freeport, Texas. Mr. Gilbert later returned to Baylor where he enrolled in the graduate school of business obtaining his degree (MBA) while working as the night manager of the Baylor Student Union. Upon graduation, Mr. Gilbert began a career in banking and corporate investments before entering South Texas College of Law at the age of 27. While in law school, Jeff participated in many intramural moot court and mock trial competitions. Interestingly and of note, Jeff tried and won his first jury trial while in law school serving as an intern with the Harris County District Attorney's office before receiving his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in December 1989. Mr. Gilbert then accepted a position in the Trial Bureau of the Harris County District Attorney's office in Houston, Texas where he tried multiple jury and non-jury cases as a juvenile, misdemeanor and then felony prosecutor.
