AZ State Lawyer Additional Information: ,973.63.");">Case: 93-1232, Charges: 14 11/13/94 Suspension - long term BY SUPREME COURT ORDER DATED OCTOBER 24, 1994, WAYNE JOSEPH WILKINSON WAS SUSPENDED FOR NINE MONTHS FOR CONDUCT RELATING TO THE REPRESENTATION OF THREE SEPARATE CLIENTS. IN THE FIRST MATTER, WILKINSON WAS RETAINED BY TWO CLIENTS TO COLLECT TWO JUDGMENTS FROM A THIRD PARTY. WILKINSON WAS ADVISED BY ONE CLIENT THAT THE THIRD PARTY WAS GOING TO RECEIVE APPROXIMATELY ,000 FROM THE PROBATE OF A RELATIVE'S ESTATE. THE CLIENTS ALSO REQUESTED THAT LIENS BE FILED, PLACED ON THE ESTATE TO SECURE THE JUDGMENTS. WILKINSON DID NOT ATTEMPT TO LOCATE OR PLACE ANY LIENS ON THE ESTATE, ANDTHE ESTATE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY CLOSED. THE CLIENTS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO COLLECT ON THEIR JUDGMENTS. NOT ONLY DID WILKINSON FAIL TO PLACE THE LIENS, HE FAILED TO RESPOND TO THE CLIENTS' NUMEROUS REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION REGARDING THEIR CASE.IN THE SECOND MATTER, WILKINSON WAS RETAINED TO REPRESENT A HUSBAND AND WIFE IN A BOUNDARY DISPUTE WITH A NEIGHBOR. ALTHOUGH WILKINSON FILED A COMPLAINT ON THE CLIENTS' BEHALF, HE FAILED TO RESPOND TO THEIR REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION ANDFAILED TO KEEP THEM APPRISED OF THE STATUS OF THEIR CASE. WILKINSON FAILED TO ADVISE HIS CLIENTS ABOUT THE EXISTENCE AND CONSEQUENCES OF A COUNTERCLAIM THAT HAD BEEN FILED AGAINST THEM.IN THE THIRD MATTER, WILKINSON WAS RETAINED BY A CLIENT IN AN ACTION AGAINST A TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY. WILKINSON FILED A COMPLAINT ON THE CLIENT'S BEHALF AFTER WHICH THE DEFENDANT RESPONDED WITH A MOTION TO DISMISS FOR IMPROPER SERVICE OF PROCESS AND FOR FAILURE TO STATE A CLAIM UP ON WHICH RELIEF COULD BE GRANTED.
