In addition to litigation and providing legal advice and planning, Cliff also develops programs for employers in the areas of employment discrimination & harassment, workers’ compensation, unfair labor practices, disability claims, wage & hour claims, unemployment claims/taxes, employment contracts, severance agreements, non-compete, non-solicitation & non-disclosure agreements, wrongful discharge, affirmative action plans, OSHA charges, employee handbooks, and supervisory training.  After 25 years of representing almost exclusively employers, Cliff now devotes the majority of his time representing employees in cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, unemployment, employment contracts, restrictive covenants and non-compete agreements, wages and overtime, whistle-blower, and all other areas of labor & employment.

Prior to forming Fox and Weiss, P.A., Cliff practiced law in the Atlanta offices of two national law firms, where he handled primarily employment law and corporate litigation. He earned both his undergraduate degree and his law degree from Emory University, where he received numerous awards and honors. Cliff has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Emory University School of Law and has taught courses in Wage & Hour Law, Trial Techniques, as well as Legal Research, Writing, and Appellate Advocacy. Additionally, he is in his twenty-seventh year as Counsel for Emory University Student Legal Services.

Cliff was appointed by Governor Zell Miller to be State Administrative Hearing Officer for the Georgia State Health Planning Agency and appointed by both Governor Roy Barnes and Governor Sonny Perdue to be a State Administrative Hearing Officer for the Georgia Department of Community Health, where he presided over trials, adjudicated verdicts, and entered orders regarding applications for Certificates of Need for new institutional health services to be provided by doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare systems. Cliff has served as Outside General Counsel for the Georgia Association of Personnel Services, Zadok Publishing, LLC, and Home Mortgage Financial Corp.

Cliff has been published in state and national business and legal publications and served as the Editor in Chief of the Atlanta Jewish Times from March 2012 to December 2014. He is a co-author of the labor and employment chapters of the legal encyclopedia, Georgia Jurisprudence, (West Publishing Co., 1996, 2002) and wrote the chapters on wage & hour laws and child labor laws in the book Georgia Apartment Law, (Georgia Apartment Assoc. Publishing, 1997, 2002). Cliff is also an active seminar speaker, and he has presented programs for the Georgia Assoc. of Personnel Services, Georgia Assoc. of Nurses in Long Term Care, Georgia Nursing Home Assoc., Georgia Continuing Medical Education, Georgia Child Care Assoc., and Emory University. Cliff is also a member of Temple Beth Tikvah, where he has served as the synagogue President.
