Legal matters can be overwhelming and stressful. An experienced and knowledgeable lawyer can help you understand your legal rights and options. I am attorney Daniel Potter at the office of Daniel E. Potter, P.C. I pride myself on clearly explaining to my clients all their legal options and the impact those choices may have on the outcome of their case. It is important to me that I let clients make their own decisions regarding their case dependent on their goals and my professional advice.
A native of Pamlico County, I grew up in the small village of Hobucken and attended both elementary and junior high school in Bayboro. I graduated from Pamlico County High School in 1984, and went on to graduate from Duke University in 1988. I graduated cum laude from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in 1992.
After practicing in Macon for two years, I moved back to New Bern to begin my own practice and to be near family and friends. I have practiced in Craven and Pamlico Counties for sixteen years, and represented hundreds of clients. My practice is now focused on two main areas of the law:
• Criminal Law and Family Law •
By concentrating my time and energy on these areas, I am able to offer clients comprehensive representation that is tailored to suit their needs.
I understand that my responsiveness and availability is highly valued by clients. I strive to answer client phone calls the first time they call or call them back in a timely manner.
