David W. Tundermann, Attorney

David Tundermann is the founder of Parsons Behle & Latimer's Environment, Energy and Natural Resources department, which includes approximately 20 attorneys. He has over 30 years of experience practicing environmental law and litigation, including cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated property, environmental insurance, complex environmental litigation, permitting, enforcement defense, cost recovery and contribution, due diligence, environmental auditing and corporate environmental management, and the emerging law of climate change. His practice also includes representing groups of corporate clients in legislative and regulatory policy development.

Mr. Tundermann has written and lectured widely on natural resources and environmental law issues. He is a former trustee of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. He is a former chair of the Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Section of the Utah State Bar and the Energy and Natural Resources Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association. He served on the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Hazardous Materials Management on BLM Lands. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Environmental Law.

Prior to joining Parsons Behle & Latimer Mr. Tundermann held senior legal and policy positions at the President's Council on Environmental Quality and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Tundermann is a graduate of Princeton University and Yale Law School.
