A family member found themself in serious legal trouble. Prior to this experience, I had only hearsay about what to expect when dealing with a public defender. I am very happy to report that most of the stereotypes were false, based on our family's experience with Riverside Public Defenders' Office! Two Public Defenders stood out: Stephen L Harmon, Atty and Donald E Miller, Atty. My family member was facing football numbers but Attorney, Donald Miller, who represented him during his sentencing, utilized a little-known change in law and other strategies the office exercised to get my family member's charges reduced considerably - deriving at an outcome that more accurately represents who my family member is today+! My family member's life was literally saved through the actions of these two Public Defenders. Keep up the great and much needed work!
Frustrating place to call. I've been hung up on and told varying answers to the same questions on multiple occasions. I was asked repeatedly if I'm on a 3rd party call or have them on speakerphone. After telling the receptionist NO, the receptionist then blamed it on my phone.
I had nothing but good experience the clerk in office very friendly and helpful. Was my first time there and really nice. Every time I called she answer nice and professional she loves what she does. My public defender Abraham is very nice and friendly if you don’t understand something he will help you. Thanks for all the help Abraham I appreciate it. I’m from Coachella valley and happy my hard working people were able help me. Would recommend to anyone and please treat them nice. As they say treat others how you want be treated. I will go future there if need to.
Indio Public Defender Joseph Cav----, stated that "puppies aren't people" and added that the woman shouldn't be held to the same standard as a person who harms another person. Public Defenders at work, dehumanizing the world in order to get a good deal for the criminals they represent.
