Mitchell H. Levitin, Esq.

Mr. Levitin, a senior associate at Phillips Nizer LLP, is a matrimonial and family law practitioner. His practice is devoted to all areas of matrimonial and family law before New York State trial and appellate courts.

Mr. Levitin typically represents high net worth clients in complex matters concerning the evaluation and distribution of assets, determination of separate property claims, spousal and child support, custody and parental access, and the validity of agreements. Mr. Levitin conducts trials, hearings and oral arguments involving a full spectrum of matrimonial law issues, and negotiates and drafts stipulations of settlement, and prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements and separation agreements. Mr. Levitin also advises and represents clients involved or affected by parental kidnapping and international and interstate custody and relocation issues.

Mr. Levitin also has extensive experience in guardianship law, consumer and business bankruptcy, commercial and residential real estate transactions, commercial and civil litigation, criminal law and immigration.

Mr. Levitin’s appellate drafting has resulted in several "Decisions of Interest" featured on the front page of the New York Law Journal. He has also appeared on nationwide television as a panelist on family law issues.
