At that time, Ashley worked as a paralegal for a boutique law firm specializing in white-collar defense and college student defense. Also during her undergraduate career, Ashley worked as a volunteer for the Petey Greene Project and would tutor inmates in GED studies. While she attended William & Mary Law School, Ashley worked for the Commonwealth Attorney’s office in Petersburg, Virginia where she tried both felony and misdemeanor cases ranging from petit larcenies to assaults; she has tried cases in front of both judges and juries. In addition to her J.D., Ashley received a concentration in Criminal Law and Procedure. Following law school and prior to joining Price Benowitz, Ashley worked in civil rights law representing employees who were wronged by their employers, including cases related to hostile work environments, unpaid wages, and discrimination in the workplace. Now, Ashley has returned to her true love: criminal defense. When she is not working or volunteering, Ashley collects minerals from all over the world. She has a collection of approximately 200 mineral specimens. Her favorite mineral in her collection is her vanadinite from Morocco.

Before focusing his practice on criminal defense, Andrew also gained experience working in Washington, D.C., where he deepened his understanding of policy and public service. Coming from a family of educators, Andrew remains involved in community-focused legal education programs, helping introduce high school and early college students to the foundations of the law. Wayne brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to the office but more importantly he is known as an advocate for individuals and families. Wayne is a licensed private investigator who joined the firm in February 2024 after a twenty-six-year career in law enforcement retiring in 2023. Wayne has spent seventeen years investigating various criminal cases to include: domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assaults, suspicious deaths, and homicide investigations. Wayne has testified in numerous federal and state level cases regarding investigations, interviews, crime scene collections and preservation.

Gieta Nejad is a highly skilled private investigator specializing in criminal defense. Gieta has a Master of Science degree in Forensic Science- Crime Scene Investigation and previously served as a Parole and Probation Officer before joining Price Benowitz LLP.
